21 September 2001, 10h17. In the AZF factory, in Toulouse, France, a storage of around 300 tons ammonium nitrate exploded, injuring thousands and killing 31 people. 20 years later, never seen before footage and unpublished interviews show the minute by minute of this industrial disaster, the biggest in French history since WWII.

This series gives a new life to silent archives. It shed new light on WWII and the preceding years by revealing what the masters of the Reich and their acolytes were really saying to each other while being filmed, thinking no one could hear them. Surprising or trivial, mundane or astonishing, their words now deciphered give a new perspective on these historical archives and get us closer to the harsh reality of these tragic days.

This series retraces the origins and journeys of major European works of international significance, whose original manuscript has survived through the ages. Each film attempts to analyze an original manuscript as if it were a crucial clue, in hopes to reveal the secrets behind each work.
