The Bund II is a Hong Kong period drama television series broadcast on TVB in 1980. It is a direct sequel to The Bund, also produced and released by TVB earlier in the same year. A sequel, The Bund III, was released by TVB later that year.

Worzel Gummidge Down Under, adapted from the books written by Barbara Euphan Todd and the children's television programme produced and broadcast in the United Kingdom named Worzel Gummidge, starring Jon Pertwee. The story continued in New Zealand when Aunt Sally was sold to a Museum owner.

Galtar and the Golden Lance is an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera in the 1980s. It was originally produced and released as part of a five-in-one omnibus program, The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera, of which Challenge of the Gobots, The Jetsons, Paw Paws, and Yogi's Treasure Hunt as part of the 1985's inaugurated allstar 1st lineup. The TV series has been considered to have been created due to the rise and popularity of the He-Man franchise.

Ravioli is a German children's television series.

The miniseries tells the story of Leninha, who marries Paulo due to a financial agreement made by her father, Dílson. Her life changes when she meets her brother-in-law, Mauricio, during a trip to her husband's farm in the interior of Rio de Janeiro. The two fall in love and become lovers. Leninha then begins to experience a great conflict: social and moral rules impose on her the behavior of a good wife, faithful and companion, but her desire for Maurício speaks louder. Consuelo, mother of Paulo and Maurício, realizes what is happening and begins to antagonize her daughter-in-law. Upon discovering the betrayal, Paulo starts to hate his brother. At the end of the plot, Leninha decides to stay with her husband, and the couple happily announces that they will have a child. Mauricio despairs, but later recovers in Regina's arms.

Wisdom of the Gnomes is an animated series produced by Spanish company BRB Internacional about Gnomes. It was a spin-off of the series The World of David the Gnome. It was based on the books The Secret Book of Gnomes by Wil Huygen. Other sequels, both in serial and movie form, were The Great Adventure of the Gnomes, The Gnomes in the Snow and The Fantastic Adventures of the Gnomes.

Zeit genug is a German television series. It translates to 'Plenty of Time' in English. A young man (a railway enthusiast) suffers from the monotony of his Bavarian village and, after his father's death, moves to Munich to live with his uncle. Rather unwelcome there, he experiences the joys and sorrows of the big city, true love, and frustration. By the end of the six episodes, he knows what he really wants. Ernst Hannawald (still fresh in his role) as Willi and Toni Berger as Uncle Ignaz guarantee Bavarian quality.

"Keek op de week" was a satirical television program by the duo Kees van Kooten and Wim de Bie. In it, Van Kooten and De Bie discussed current events, usually through sketches featuring their various characters. They often held "conversations" with these characters via a screen, which in reality was just a blue screen. They also provided commentary on the news in a columnist-like style. The rug beater logo of Van Kooten and De Bie's "Simplisties Verbond" was still present, though placed modestly in the background. The song "Duke of Iron" by saxophonist Sonny Rollins served as the show's theme music.

Prospects is a British television comedy drama series that was written by Alan Janes and originally shown on Channel 4 in 1986. Created by Euston Films who had a pedigree of producing successful, gritty drama such as The Sweeney and Minder, it followed the exploits of two East End 'geezer' characters - Jimmy 'Pincy' Pince played by Gary Olsen and Billy played by Brian Bovell and their trials and tribulations of making a living in London's Isle of Dogs. Comprising 12 episodes Prospects - with a comic slant, dealt with many of the major issues affecting British society at the height of the "Thatcherite" '80's including unemployment, crime, poverty, regeneration, social change and racism. Prospects gained a cult following and ratings wise it performed well above expectation for Channel 4. At that time Channel Four received a large subsidy from the rival commercial network ITV in exchange for the right to sell airtime; this gave ITV a significant input into the management of the station. The success of Prospects and the fact that it was produced by a subsidiary of the ITV network's largest station Thames Television meant it was moved to a 9pm prime-time repeat slot on ITV in the Spring/Summer of 1987. This fuelled rumours that the network wanted to develop Prospects into a long-running comedy drama series. However despite seeing potential ITV declined the opportunity to develop it beyond the original first series.

After steady training, the team try to do a final game in the regional preliminaries, against Aoba Gakuin.

The third brother Kenji (Matsumoto) avoids conflict by enlisting as a military interpreter, in which capacity he witnesses the war crimes trials that followed Japan's defeat.

The Last Outlaw is a remarkable four-part miniseries presentation that deflects historical judgement and allows the legend to live on.

The California Raisin Show is an animated television series based on the claymation advertising characters The California Raisins. The show is based on an Emmy Award-winning claymation special, Meet the Raisins!, which originally aired on CBS in 1989. After the show's 13-episode run, a sequel to the original special, Raisins: Sold Out!: The California Raisins II, aired in 1990. While the characters are traditionally depicted in claymation, the TV show was cel animated by Murakami-Wolf-Swenson. It did, however, maintain Will Vinton as creative director and executive producer. It takes place in a world populated by anthropomorphic fruits and vegetables and focuses on the main characters, the California Raisins: A.C., Beebop, Stretch, and Red. Each episode has one or more musical numbers.

Orphan Pip discovers through lawyer Mr. Jaggers that a mysterious benefactor wishes to ensure that he becomes a gentleman. Reunited with his childhood patron, Miss Havisham, and his first love, the beautiful but emotionally cold Estella, he discovers that the elderly spinster has gone mad from having been left at the altar as a young woman, and has made her charge into a warped, unfeeling heartbreaker.

The sequel to The Yagyu Conspiracy picks up when Yagyu Jubei (Sonny Chiba) has a falling out with the Shogun, and sets out on his own as a wanted man. Featuring the martial art skills of Sue Shiomi (Sister Streetfighter) as she is on official patrol with Jubei watching over her, making sure that he gets to fight in each episode as well. This is one of the best and most exciting television series to ever hit the airwaves.

The Late, Late Breakfast Show was a BBC television light entertainment show broadcast live on Saturday evenings from 4 September 1982 to 8 November 1986. It was presented by Noel Edmonds, initially with co-host Leni Harper and also featured Mike Smith and John Peel. It is remembered for several accidents during its regular "Give It A Whirl" stunt slot; in particular, the 1986 death of Michael Lush.

Whoops Apocalypse is a six-part 1982 British sitcom by Andrew Marshall and David Renwick, made by London Weekend Television for ITV. Marshall and Renwick later reworked the concept as a 1986 film of the same name from ITC Entertainment, with almost completely different characters and plot, although one or two of the original actors returned in different roles. As the Apocalypse nears, US President Johnny Cyclops tries to run a reelection campaign whilst also dealing with the Russians, a deposed Shah needing to be hidden, and a new weapon called a 'quark' bomb.

Game for a Laugh is a British light entertainment programme which ran for 56 editions and four specials between 26 September 1981 and 23 November 1985, made by London Weekend Television for the ITV network.

Almost Grown is an American television drama series about a couple, whose lives are explored during three time periods of their lives. The series was well received by critics, but aired for only 10 episodes between 27 November 1988 and 20 February 1989 due to low ratings. The series is notable for being co-created by David Chase, who would later go on to create the critically and commercially successful HBO original series The Sopranos. Many themes appearing in Almost Grown were later explored in The Sopranos.

Chikkun Takkun revolves around an alien duck named Chikkun and his advisor Takkun, trying to stop an alien mad scientist from invading Earth.

Middle aged couple Ted (Keith Barron) and Liz Jackson (Nanette Newman) are shocked when they return from a 2nd honeymoon and discover that Liz is pregnant. Finding herself pregnant at the age of 43 leaves Liz less than impressed and in a gift that keeps on giving she then finds out she is expecting twins. The Jackson's three grown up children also need some time to process the news.

Jack Vincent, an aristocrat forced by circumstances to become a smuggler, is caught and transported on the IIMS Success to a penal colony on Norfolk Island, off the New Zealand coast. Unhappily for Vincent, the ship's captain is none other than his brother-in-law, Lt.Harry Anderson. The two men have quarreled violently in the past over Anderson's treatment of Vincent's sister, and now Anderson subjects him to particularly harsh and humiliating treatment. Vincent stages a successful mutiny, casting Anderson and those loyal to him adrift, and plans to sail to America. When the Success is shipwrecked, Vincent is one of three survivors; but Anderson also survives the storm, and vows to pursue Vincent until he sees him hanged at Execution Dock. So begins a fight for survival for Vincent and his crew, complete with hostile natives, unscrupulous sea-traders, crazed prophets and buried treasure.

New threats arise in the form of two rivaling evil sect leaders, the Sun Emperor and the Moon Empress. Wang Wuji, Liu Xian'er and Drunken Babe accidentally got involved in the struggles between them. Xian'er was even killed by the Moon Queen. Wuji cooperated with the Sun Emperor for revenge, but was betrayed by him. Later, the Sun Emperor and Moon Empress settled their differences. The two mastered supreme kung-fu and wanted to dominate the world. Wuji and the others decided to fight to prevent the catastrophe in the martial arts world.

Animator Bill Plympton first received widespread public attention when his outré "Your Face" (1987) was nominated for an Academy Award for Animated Short. This collection of short films—some as brief as 15 seconds—made between 1985 and 1991, showcase his unique talent much more effectively than his ponderous feature films. But in off-the-wall shorts like "Your Face", "25 Ways to Quit Smoking", and the 15-second shorts made for MTV, he emerges as an entertaining and highly original filmmaker.
