Timm Thaler is a 1979 children's television miniseries based on the 1962 children's novel by German writer James Krüss. The series originally aired in Germany as the first Christmas series on German national broadcaster ZDF. In 1988, the series was acquired for transmission in the United Kingdom by the BBC. The English version was produced by Angela Beeching, with script by Nel Romano, and retitled The Legend of Tim Tyler. It aired during Children's BBC in the weekday afternoons. The screenplay was written by Justus Pfaue and Peter M. Thouet and differs somewhat from the original novel. Directed by Sigi Rothemund, the series became a hit in Germany and made then 14-year-old Tommi Ohrner, in the lead role of Timm Thaler, a popular teen idol of the era. The role of the Baron was played by Horst Frank.

The Loggerheads was an animated cartoon television series by Magma Films. It combined an old viking storylines with dark humour. It lasted only one season and was shown in Germany in 1997, on Britain's Channel Five in 1998 and later on the Pop TV channel, and in Italy TMC2 in 1999. The Story revolved around the Loggerhead chief Bjorn the Red and the rich Gissur the Pale and his family's attempts to contest the post. The opening/ending theme of the Italian version was written by Vito Abbonato and Andrea Ridolfi.

The first drama series by Oscar winner Caroline Link revolves around therapy with children. The staged therapy sessions are exciting and emotional – just like Life itself.

The life of Nina Vandenberg, wife of Gero Vandenberg, whose family owns a successful coffee roasting company, is a disaster. First, she burns down the family villa in an alcohol intoxication and almost dies in the process, a little later Gero dies in a plane crash. But that's not all: A large amount of cash was found in the wreckage of the plane, from which no one knows where it came from - at the same time the company is missing 40 million euros, and it looks as if someone here has black money from the company wanted to smuggle past the tax office. All indications point to Nina, because she signed everything her husband presented to her without hesitation. Zeit genug is a German television series. It translates to 'Plenty of Time' in English. A young man (a railway enthusiast) suffers from the monotony of his Bavarian village and, after his father's death, moves to Munich to live with his uncle. Rather unwelcome there, he experiences the joys and sorrows of the big city, true love, and frustration. By the end of the six episodes, he knows what he really wants. Ernst Hannawald (still fresh in his role) as Willi and Toni Berger as Uncle Ignaz guarantee Bavarian quality.

The film is set in the 1930s in Germany. Maria Rheine and Mark Löwenthal, two young actors working in a small theater, are in love with each other. Their love affair is interrupted by Nazi racial policies; Mark is no longer allowed to perform in German theaters because he is a Jew. In order to continue acting, he joins the newly formed Jewish Theater in Berlin. Maria, who is not Jewish, faces no restrictions on her career, and she becomes a successful actress at a big theater in Munich. But her love for Mark eventually leads her to decide to sacrifice both career and security to remain close to him. She fakes a suicide, assumes a Jewish identity and, as Manja Löwenthal, joins the Jewish Theater.

Reläxx is a German television series. Reläxx was a weekly kids- and youth magazine that was broadcast on KI.KA from 1997 to 2008. Between 1997 and 2006 it was produced by UFA Entertainment GmbH and since 2007 by X Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH on behalf of the German television channel rbb.
