The Englishman on holiday? That is the theme of Roamin' Holiday, ATV's series starring Max Bygraves as the Englishman. The scene is the Italian Riviera Resort of Alassio. Against this setting, a holiday tonic to relieve the gloom of winter for viewers at home, the series will feature comedy situations and musical numbers. With Max at large in the town mingling with their residence and thronging holiday makers. Max's 13-year-old son Anthony, who sang with his father at the London Palladium last September, will appear in four episodes of the Roamin' Holiday.

It was based on a radio series with the same name broadcast on 3DB in Melbourne from 1958 to 1960. The television series was recorded at the HSV-7 Fitzroy tele-theatre in Melbourne. There were 163 one hour episodes. The series made use of a revolving cast to portray various court cases. The actors were given the details of a given case and instructed to improvise their performances to give the series a more authentic, immediate feel. It won a Logie Award in 1961 for Best Australian Drama Series

Sing Along with Mitch, airing on NBC from 1961 to 1964, was a weekly sing-along program hosted by Mitch Miller and featuring a male chorus. Lyrics were presented at the bottom of the television screen. Singer Leslie Uggams, pianist Dick Hyman, and the singing Quinto Sisters were regularly featured. One of the show's trademarks was the final number, a group sing-along with the regular house chorale, among whom would be an uncredited celebrity not necessarily known for their singing ability. As the popularity of the show rose, Miller produced and recorded several "Sing Along with Mitch" record albums.

Carmen Mastren was the show's musical director, with the main theme and prize cues played live on two electric guitars. The series aired live in black and white from NBC Studio 6A at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York.
