My Chief and My Regiment

The series is about the Chinese National Revolutionary Army Expeditionary Force in Burma fighting the Imperial Japanese Army during the 1942 Battle of Yunnan-Burma Road at the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Chinese troops landed in Burma to support the British allied forces operations. The aim was to protect the road since it served as an important supply route after China's ports fell under Japanese control. When the British forces withdrew their support and surrendered, part of the remaining Chinese troops was forced to abandon their heavy equipment and retreat in loose formations through the harsh Burmese jungles, experiencing constant enemy pursue and ambush. Of the 100,000 strong Chinese Expeditionary Force sent to fight, only around 40,000 returned home. The story follows a small group of soldiers being refuged in Yunnan, and is narrated through the eyes of a limping young Beiping student-turned-soldier named Meng Fanliao.

Jian Lin Tian Xia

Do you think you have already known everything about the dark-faced Judge Bao? Well, think again. Jian Lin Tian Xia presents you with a brand new look at this impartial and incorruptible judge in a way that you have never ever dreamt of before. Among the tons of costume dramas produced in mainland China, this title is the very first attempt at a light yet thought-provoking subject revolving around a circle of young people. Believe it or not, Justice Bao here has to compete with his sidekick Zhan Zhao for the favor of a woman standing out with her exoticism. Also, Wang Chao and Ma Han, who are the bodyguards of Bao, are caught up in a plot remarkably similar to the award-winning Hong Kong movie Internal Affairs. Many more contemporary hot issues ranging from the bird flu, the drug problems to even the news on the football fields, can also be located in this innovative production.

The Eight Charts

During the two hundred years of the Three Kingdoms period, rival warlords rose across the land, dividing it among Wei, Shu, and Wu. Zhuge Kongming devoted his life to creating the “Eight Array Diagram,” a brilliant military formation. However, upon his sudden death, the diagram was lost. Later generations believed that this unpredictable and powerful military manual would reappear six hundred years later, just as Zhuge Liang had foretold, and that “whoever possesses the Eight Array Diagram shall rule the world.”
