Thirty-something office lady Chikako Yamaguchi falls for a man at her gym - Shun Izaki. She proposes but he rejects her. That same Izaki saw Chikako's mother Hanae at the shop where she works and they fell in love with each other. The attraction of a younger man changes Hanae's perception of herself as a woman. Chikako enjoys seeing her mother blossom, oblivious to the fact that this is due to the man who rejected her. Kanno stars as the unfortunate heroine with an ugly personality who grows through her encounters with this good natured middle aged man.

Wonderful Life is a Japanese drama series aired in Japan on Fuji TV in 2004. It stars Takashi Sorimachi, Kyoko Hasegawa, Norito Yashima, and Ken Horiuchi. Kirishima, played by Takashi Sorimachi, is the most famous baseball player in Japan. He is forced to retire early due to injuries. Monster parents-a neologism that denotes parents who repeatedly make unreasonable demands to their children’s school and prevent it from functioning normally. Takamura Itsuki is the ace lawyer of a major law firm. One day, she is assigned on a case requested by a school board, and learns of the existence of "monster parents." She meets a parent who wants the school to fire a teacher with a dialect for fear that he may exert bad influence on her child, a parent who insists that her son get a regular position on the soccer team, a parent who refuses to pay the lunch fee because it doesn’t taste good and so on. She is, at first, reluctant about this case, but gradually becomes determined to solve the problems.

Munesue partners with a New York detective to unravel the mystery, delving into the victim’s complex past and secrets that stretch across Japan and the U.S. As they piece together clues, the detectives confront their own pasts and prejudices, exploring themes of identity, racism, and justice. The show is based on Seicho Matsumoto's 1976 novel, with some modern adaptations for the series.

After Mizusawa Yume's mother becomes ill and passes away, she finds a picture of a man holding a baby in her mother's keepsake box. On the back of the picture it says "Loving Papa and Yume, at Raku no Yu." Yume has never known or even seen a picture of her father, but she believes that this guy must be him. Also in the box there is a lighter with the initials RM. After she finds that the "Raku no Yu", is a 'sento' (public bath) in Shibuya, Tokyo, she's off to meet her long lost father and to get as much money out of him as possible. The debts her mother left her after her death left nothing for Yume. Yume blames her father for her mother's death because if it wasn't for him she wouldn't have had to work so hard and wouldn't have gotten ill and died young. Once she arrives in Tokyo and finds 'Raku no Yu' she finds a name plaque with the inscription Mannaka Rokku, so she is sure this is the place.

A 6-part OVA series. In this surreal comedy, the witch Tsukune-chan travels the countryside doling out just deserts, be they good or bad.

Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle: Never Ending Odyssey is the second season and the 25th entry in Tsuburaya Productions' long-running Ultra Series. Like its predecessor Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle, NEO is a pay-per-view service. The first episode was distributed for free online on December 12, 2008, and remained available until January 31, 2009. Broadcast of the show on BS11 beginning December 20, 2008. The series was followed by Mega Monster Battle Gymnastics 大怪獣バトル体操, a non-canon morning exercise program for children starring Shota Minami. Mega Monster Battle Gymnastics also had a touring stage show with dancing and exercises set to music and starring Shota Minami, with cameo appearances by Hiroyuki Konishi and Saki Kamiryo.
