Ronni Ancona & Co is a comedy sketch show that aired on BBC One and began on 25 May 2007. The sketches all consisted of impressions of well-known celebrities amongst other comedy sketches of fictional characters created by Ronni Ancona. Phil Cornwell, Jan Ravens and John Sessions all starred in the series with Ancona. Bill Oddie also made a cameo appearance in the first episode. Fellow impressionist Alistair McGowan appeared in the first episode in a spoof of a perfume advertisement.

Films that take a mischievous approach to serious issues

Vroom Vroom was a British television series. shown on Sky One. The presenters were Brendan Coogan, Jon Desborough, Lisa Rogers, and Emma Parker Bowles. Each show ran for one hour, and featured a varied mix of segments, from test drives to banger racing and tips for buying and selling cars. Each episode included a regular strand presented by Emma Parker Bowles who turns her hand to banger, lawn mower and mini-auto grass racing. Other contributors included segments by Bruno Senna, nephew of late Grand Prix driver Ayrton Senna and professional test driver Duncan Gray. For the second seires of the show, it had some new segments. Brendan Coogan's 'Test Drive' section was changed, instead of the car being put through various tests, it was subjected to an unusual test - such as the Audi Q7 was navigated through various courses, but driven by children. Another long running segment was run at Santa Pod to make a 1992 Mk 3 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 estate go faster via a weekly modification costing less than £150. Solutions included a performance air filter, exhaust, and stripping weight out of the car. Another weekly regular segment was "The Cat & Mouse Challenge" where celebrities had to evade a 4.2L Jaguar driven by one of the country's top drivers, Steve "Cecil" Anscombe.

Home Again was a British television sitcom produced by the BBC and broadcast on BBC One in 2006. It starred Peter Egan, Samantha Janus, Bruce Mackinnon and Sinéad Cusack as two couples of different generations living in one house. The show lasted for one series only, during which six episodes were produced and broadcast. The theme song was Inbetween Days by The Cure.

The One and Only was an entertainment talent contest made by the BBC. It was broadcast on BBC One and hosted by Graham Norton. The aim of the show was to find a musical tribute act to perform in a three-month stint in Las Vegas. Each week throughout January and February 2008 one of their number was lost after a public vote, and the other acts then chose who should go through based on their second performance. The Judges were David Grant and Carrie Grant. The show was won on 16 February 2008 by Katy Setterfield as Dusty Springfield.

The show was not only the starting point for Harry Hill's children television career but also the start of Actor Lewis Bittle's entire career. After his small part on the opening titles for the show's weekly punchline title sequence, his acting name shot up faster than a NASA rocket.

Spin Star was a British television game show that was broadcast on ITV, and was hosted by Bradley Walsh. It was based around a five-reel slot machine called the Moneyspinner. The reels displayed question subjects, the names of the five contestants who will answer the questions, and cash amounts that are won if the questions are answered correctly. The five contestants do not win the money for themselves however; instead, they are winning it for the Spin Star, the contestant who has been there the longest. Therefore, each contestant will be on the show for six episodes, five answering questions for someone else, then one where they are in charge of the Moneyspinner. The first reel has a range of categories of questions on it, each given a star rating of up to three stars. One star means the questions are of easy difficulty, two stars mean the questions are of medium difficulty and three stars mean the questions are of hard difficulty. After a category has been used, it is replaced by a new category, with any unused categories from a previous show being re-used. The second, third and fourth reels have the names of the five daily players on them. These reels decide who will answer the questions.

Shattered was a reality television programme shown on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. It aired in 2004. Ten contestants were challenged with going without sleep for seven days while their actions were constantly monitored. Over the seven days the ten housemates had to endure daily performance testing and a variety of challenges. They were competing for a potential prize fund of £100,000 though, at any point, if a contestant closed their eyes for over ten seconds, then £1,000 was deducted from the prize fund.

Having it Off is a one-off TV comedy series for BBC Choice made by Red Production Company in 2002. It was set at a cheap hairdressing salon in Eccles, Greater Manchester. It was shown only once and is not available yet on DVD. Out gay bitchy stereotype Guy La Trousse, desperately tries to escape the drudge of daily wash and crop and change the fortunes of the salon - and his career. This is all thwarted by April, nymphomanic loud-mouthed wife of the hairdressers owner. The BBC website describes it as "rude, crude, strongly working-class sitcom on the lesser-seen BBC Choice, Having It Off promised much yet fell curiously short of the mark, lacking the key that would have propelled it to a higher level". However, tapes have been known to change hands on eBay for high prices.

The Pop Years was a British television show that reviewed pop music of a certain year from 1980 to 1999. It was first shown on Sky1 in 2003 and was later repeated on Sky3. The programme featured archive clips relating to the particular year that it was reviewing, e.g. music videos or live performances. It also featured interviews with famous singers from that year and talking heads who enjoyed that year's music. The show ran for a single series of 20 episodes and was narrated by Scott Mills and Edith Bowman.

Adam and Joe Go Tokyo was a series of eight episodes created for BBC Three. It starred Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish of The Adam and Joe Show and aired from 30 May 2003 to 25 July 2003. The aim of the show was to offer an alternative insight into the lives of Tokyo's citizens, with the obligatory look at a number of gadgets and toys along the way. The show took the format of a mature Blue Peter outlining many pastimes of the average Japanese person, everything from competitive speed eating to manga cosplay. Each episode would end with a Japanese band joining the show to perform.

Lab Rats is a 2008 BBC 2 situation comedy set in a university science laboratory starring Chris Addison, who co-wrote the series with Carl Cooper. The series was produced by regular collaborator Simon Nicholls and directed by Adam Tandy. Its executive producer was Armando Iannucci with whom Addison worked in The Thick of It. Iannucci stated that the programme would be a traditional-style sitcom recorded in front of a live audience. He hinted that it will be a "very cartoony" show featuring "lots of giant snails". A pilot was announced as part of a series called "Behind Closed Doors" in Autumn 2006, but was never aired. A series of six episodes was broadcast in 2008, although the show was not recommissioned for further series.

Boys and Girls was a British television gameshow broadcast in 2003 by Channel 4. The series was produced by Chris Evans through his company UMTV, and was presented by Vernon Kay. It is made primarily for CITV and was broadcast from 3 September 2001 until 14 December 2008. The Finger Tips presenters were Stephen Mulhern series 1-4, and Fearne Cotton series 1-3. The show is about creating things out of household items and aimed at a child audience. The programme manager is Wendy Larkin. The programme is recorded at The Maidstone Studios in Kent, former home to TVS Television and countless quality children's programming. There are different categories: ⁕Finger Tips Top Make: A major project, normally at the start of the show ⁕Food Finger Tips: Easy cooking and baking recipes ⁕Fun Finger Tips: Self-made games ⁕Little Finger Tips: Items made for making over odds and ends from around the home ⁕Makeover Finger Tips: Basically the same as "Little Finger Tips"- replaced it in later shows "Top Make" and "Little" or "Make-Over Finger Tips" featured in every show, and "Fun" and "Food Tips" were usually in alternate shows. There were also more specialised categories which ran briefly. Rolf on Art is a British Art television series made by the BBC. It was hosted by Rolf Harris, the Australian television presenter. The series began in 2001, and the most recent episode was made in 2007. It was followed by Harris's other art programme, Star Portraits with Rolf Harris, which was released after the success of Rolf on Art. Each episode revolved around Harris looking at a various notable artist from history, and both investigating their life as well as imitating their style of art.

Body Hits is a TV series which focused on what goes on inside people's bodies as they fight their way through their hectic modern lifestyle. Dr. John Marsden was the show's host for its entirety. The programme aired on BBC Three in the United Kingdom, TechTV in the United States, The LifeStyle Channel and ABC2in Australia, and Prime Television New Zealand in New Zealand

That Antony Cotton Show is a British comedy chat show that was broadcast on ITV & STV for one series in 2007. It was presented by Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, and aired on weekdays at 5pm. The show was not broadcast in Northern Ireland, due to UTV's news programme beginning at 5.30pm. The show was filmed in front of a live audience at the ITV Granada studios in Manchester. Preview tapes of the pilot circulated before the series began, mainly on YouTube, and were panned by critics as it was simply a copy of The Paul O'Grady Show, which originally was shown on ITV. ITV Productions Granada thought Anthony Cotton would have been either more popular or as popular as with viewers as Paul O'Grady was. That Antony Cotton Show launched with 2 million viewers at 5pm on Monday 13 August 2007. This was significantly up on the slot average of 1.7 million viewers. It also attracted more than Channel 4's flagship daytime show, Richard & Judy, which pulled in just 1.1 million viewers at the same time. However, by its third episode, the show had lost 500,000 viewers, drawing 1.5 million and a 13% share. Viewership continued to fall further for Cotton's show. On 24 August 2007, only 1.1 million tuned in. The show's viewership slumped to below 1.1 million on 11 September 2007.

Ed and Oucho's Excellent Inventions was a children's TV show, presented by Ed Petrie and his cactus companion, Oucho. Before this program Ed and Oucho were CBBC office presenters and favoured by many children. The premise of the show was children sending in designs of inventions, with one each episode being created. The inventions in the show were created by Artem Ltd, a company that creates props and special effects for TV and film productions.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a children's television programme that aired on BBC One. It was hosted by Barney Harwood, and saw 14 lucky scholars picked from auditions taking place across the UK. The successful applicants were then taken to magic school, where they were given 18 days of training by professional magicians. The programme ran for 21 episodes in July 2007. It was broadcast to co-ordinate with the release of the final Harry Potter book, and the fifth film. The Sorcerer was Max Somerset, and the two teachers were Sophie Evans and Tariq Knight. David Penn was a regular on The Sorcerer's Apprentice Extra, a follow-up programme broadcast the following day on BBC Two. He also starred in the second series. Series 2, which had a completely new look and followed 12 new children, started filming in August 2008 and began broadcasting on 25 January 2009 on BBC Two. Max Somerset returned as the Sorcerer along with the magic teachers Tariq Knight aka Mr Knight and Sophie Evans aka Miss Evans. Ortis Deley hosted for this 10 part series. Series 3 also finished filming in 2008. Series 3 finished filming in 2008 but has never been aired. The show has not been axed eithier so there is a possibility series 3 will be aired. However it is assumed that there will no longer be another series as the last broadcast of the second series was in 2008.

Re:covered was a music television show broadcast in the UK on BBC Choice in 2002 and hosted by Dermot O'Leary. Each of the ten half-hour shows featured three bands or artists who, in turn, played two songs – a current track of their own, and a cover version of their choice. A Re:covered Elvis special left this usual format with artists performing just Elvis tracks - including The Flaming Lips performing Suspicious Minds, Sugababes performing Hound Dog and McAlmont and Butler performing Burning Love.
