“The Growing Summer,” on the ITV network, tomorrow (8.15) features Wendy Hiller. “The Growing Summer,” a novel for children by Noel Streatfeild, has been dramatised for television by Eric Thompson. The children are played by Hoagy Davies (Alex), Zuleika Robson (Penny), Mark Ward (Robin), and Laura Hartong (Naomi).

Speed ​​Racer is a teenage driver who races around the world in his super-technological car, the Mach 5, created by his father, a former racer. Tales of Mystery was a British supernatural television drama anthology series based on the short stories of Algernon Blackwood. It was broadcast by ITV and ran over three seasons from 1961-1963. Produced by Peter Graham Scott, each episode was 25 minutes long and introduced by John Laurie. None of the 29 episodes broadcast survive in any television archive, however.

The Mighty Heroes was an animated television series created by Ralph Bakshi for the Terrytoons company. The original show debuted on CBS, on October 29, 1966, and ran for 1 season for 21 episodes. The series is set in Good Haven, a city that is continually beset by various supervillains. When trouble occurs, the city launches a massive fireworks display to summon a quintet of high-flying superheroes into action.

Witch Hunt was a 1967 British supernatural television drama series shown on BBC2. Starring Patrick Kavanagh, and unfolding over 5 episodes, the plot involves a man, Rex Fordham, who moves to the Gloucestershire countryside and uncovers a secret witchcraft cult. Written by Jon Manchip White, directed by Peter Duguid, and produced by Alan Bromly. No episodes are known to exist in the archives as of 2009.

Twinkles the Elephant is an American animated Total Television Productions series that aired as part of the NBC Saturday morning cartoon King Leonardo and His Short Subjects in 1960. The series was a tie-in with Twinkles cereal, and the titular elephant Twinkles served as the mascot. The character was actually created by Total Television. The segment was the only segment on Short Subjects to not return in later syndication, primarily due to the FCC whom were stern about television shows consisting of cereal brand characters, as well as the character being dated regardless due to the cereal's discontinuation.

Chigley is the third and final stop-motion children's television series in Gordon Murray's Trumptonshire sequence. Production details are identical to Camberwick Green. As in Camberwick Green and Trumpton, the action centres around a small community, in this case the fictitious village or hamlet of Chigley, near Camberwick Green in Trumptonshire. Chigley is more of an industrial area, and according to Gordon Murray, the three communities are at the corners of an equilateral triangle. A digitally restored version of the series from the rediscovered original film masters emerged in 2012.
