They wore insect-themed outfits with antennae and wings which allowed them to fly, though on occasion, they were shown flying on surfboards. The Cowboys was a short-lived Western television series based on the 1972 motion picture of the same name starring John Wayne. The television show starred Jim Davis, Diana Douglas, Moses Gunn, A Martinez, Robert Carradine, and Clay O'Brien. David Dortort, best known for Bonanza and The High Chaparral, produced the series. The television show, like the movie, followed the exploits of seven boys who worked on a ranch in 1870s New Mexico. The Cowboys began as an hour-long series, but ABC decided to reduce running time to a half hour format. The format change did not lead to increased viewers, and the show was the victim of early cancellation. Guest stars included Cal Bellini as Wa-Cha-Ka in "The Indian Givers", Kevin Hagen as Josh Redding in "Death on a Fast Horse", and Lurene Tuttle as Grandma Jesse in "Many a Good Horse Dies".

The Robonic Stooges was a 30-minute Saturday morning animated series featuring the characters of The Three Stooges in new roles as clumsy crime-fighting bionic superheroes. It was developed by Norman Maurer and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions from September 10, 1977, to March 18, 1978, on CBS and contained two segments, The Robonic Stooges and Woofer & Wimper, Dog Detectives. The Robonic Stooges originally aired as a segment on The Skatebirds from September 10, 1977, to December 24, 1977, on CBS. When CBS canceled The Skatebirds in early 1978, the trio was given their own half-hour timeslot which ran for 16 episodes.

Soul Train is an American musical variety show that aired in syndication from 1971 to 2006. In its 35-year history, the show primarily featured performances by R&B, soul, and hip hop artists, although funk, jazz, disco, and gospel artists have also appeared. The series was created by Don Cornelius, who also served as its first host and executive producer. Production was suspended following the 2005–06 season, with a rerun package airing for two years after that. As a nod to Soul Train's longevity, the show's opening sequence contained a claim that it was the "longest-running first-run, nationally syndicated program in television history," with over 1,100 episodes produced from the show's debut through the 2005-06 season. Despite the production hiatus, Soul Train will continue to hold this honor until at least 2016, if and when its nearest competitor, Entertainment Tonight, completes its 35th season.

The action of each play moves between the courtroom at the trial and flashbacks, which show the events leading up to the crime.

Notarztwagen 7 is a 1976-1977 German medical drama television series directed by Helmut Ashley. It is regarded as a cult television series in Germany. Thirteen 25 minute episodes were produced for ARD and it aired from 1 December 1976. Notarztwagen means "Mobile Intensive Care Unit". The series portrays the contemporary life of a rescue team, emergency physician and paramedics. It is filmed in and around Frankfurt as well as occasionally in Wiesbaden and set at BG Trauma Clinic Frankfurt am Main. The screenplay was written by Bruno Hampel. The theme tune was composed by Peter Thomas.

These were common events among Hong Kong people at the time, and the show brought these topics to television, resonating with the audience.

Emergency +4 is an American animated television series based on the live action prime-time series Emergency!. The series began on NBC's Saturday morning schedule on September 8, 1973 and ran twenty-three 30-minute episodes over two seasons. It remained on the network until September 4, 1976 through re-runs. Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe provided the voices for their respective Emergency! paramedic characters. Each episode of the adventure series revolved around the Paramedical Rescue Service. The "+4" of the series title refers to four children who join the paramedics in each episode's rescue activities. Universal Studios outsourced the animation to Fred Calvert Productions because at the time, they did not have their own animation division.

The interviews became the subject of the play Frost/Nixon, which was later made into a film of the same name; both starred Michael Sheen as Frost and Frank Langella as Nixon.
