The Dream with Roy and HG was a sports/comedy talk show, broadcast every night during the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympics, presented by Australian comedy duo Roy and HG. Their telecasts became one of the most popular events of the Games, with Olympians from all nations queueing up to appear. The gifts given to interviewees became some of the most valuable collectors' items of the Games. Due to the attention on Australia as the host nation, the 2000 season took the form of a two hour show and was made available to Olympic broadcasters internationally; the 2004 season was a one hour show broadcast in Australia only. The pair became well known for their commentary of certain events, particularly the men's gymnastics, where they coined terms for various movements - including adapted vernacular such as "battered sav" and "Chiko Roll", and other inventions like "flat bag", "Dutch wink" and "hello boys" - that became familiar to viewers worldwide. Other running jokes included showing slow-motion clips of Greco-Roman Wrestling accompanied by raunchy Barry White music and the very snugly fitting outfits worn by the male Rowing teams. They also popularised Fatso the Fat-Arsed Wombat as their mascot, dismissing the official mascots as "Ollie, Millie, and Dickhead". This was emphasised in a satirical diving contest between Fatso, the three official mascots, and the Boxing Kangaroo later in the games. Fatso's huge popularity during the series caused consternation with the Australian Olympic Committee, who at first tried to ban the character from Olympic events after Australian athletes appeared carrying Fatso dolls at medal ceremonies. When auctioned for charity at the end of the series, Fatso was purchased by Seven Network CEO Kerry Stokes for A$80,450. A statue of Fatso has since been erected at the Olympic Park site.

Merrick and Rosso Unplanned was a free-form talk show hosted by Australian comedians Merrick Watts and Tim Ross, based on the UK talk show Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned. Produced by Granada Productions, the series debuted on the Nine Network on 3 September 2003. The show was the network television debut for the comedy duo. A highlight of the series involved comedian Scott Thomson who was dragged on stage to perform a hilarious stand up comedy routine which poked fun at Australian personalities, in particular Nikki Webster and Democrats politician Natasha Stott-Despoja. A telephone number appeared on screen at the end of the segment for viewers to call who had taken offence at Thomson's material.

Temptation was an Australian game show which premiered on the Nine Network on 30 May 2005. Hosted by Ed Phillips and Livinia Nixon, the show was a remake of Sale of the Century, which aired on Nine in the same timeslot for more than twenty years between 1980 and 2001. Temptation had the same general format of its predecessor, but with several new features and a de-emphasis on the "shopping" aspects of the endgame. The show ran until 30 November 2007, when it was placed on hiatus by the network following strong competition from game show Deal or No Deal on the rival Seven Network; during the hiatus, Nine filled the timeslot with episodes of the American sitcom Two and a Half Men.

The Micallef P(r)ogram(me) is an umbrella title used for the DVD releases.

Willing and Abel is an Australian television comedy series which was made in 1987, about two handymen. One episode scripted by Ted Roberts dealt with a hostage situation at a bank, the pathos being reinforced by series characters caught up in the action. The series dealt with contemporary issues in a subtle way, sometimes making observations through humour.

Celebrity Dog School was a short-lived Australian reality series which aired on Network Ten. It was based on the original version aired in the UK. The show was hosted by Larry Emdur, who also hosted The Price is Right on the Nine Network, and Wheel of Fortune on the Seven Network. It was a Pett Productions format for BBC Worldwide, produced by Freehand Group Pty Limited. The show involved six celebrities and their dogs given an obedience task, an agility task, and they must train them throughout the week. At the end of the week, they would perform these tasks in front of the other celebrities and the expert judges. Home viewers had the option to vote for their favourite celebrity and dog pair via text message, with proceeds from each vote going to the RSPCA. Towards the end of the series, there was to be a 'Grand Final Best in Show Spectacular' where they were to perform in front of a live audience. The most popular couple who was not eliminated would have won the 'Best in Series'. Bootsie scored a perfect score from all three judges; sadly, no such thing happened. After only three episodes, Network Ten placed the show in 'hiatus', and it ended up never returning.
