The show also starred JoBeth Williams, Julie Benz and Rick Batalla. Despite fairly positive reception, and receiving the blessing of John Cleese, who agreed to take a recurring role if the show was renewed, Payne was quickly cancelled. Nine episodes were filmed; eight were aired. The show is not available on DVD.

These new record attempts included many unusual or bizarre categories such as a 300-pound tumor, squirting milk from one's eye, covering one's self with bees, sitting in a tub of snakes, regurgitating, burping, setting one's self on fire, eating metal, worms, and ketchup, kissing cobras, acting as a human speed bump, and entering a coffin full of cockroaches. Most of these attempts never found their way into the Guinness Book. The show was met with poor ratings and even poorer reviews: viewers and critics alike were confused and appalled by the disturbing "records" being attempted.

Guys Next Door is an American television series aired on NBC in the 1990-1991 season as part of its Saturday lineup. The show starred Patrick J. Dancy, Eddie Garcia, Bobby Leslie, Damon Sharpe and Christopher Wolf. Most of the show centered on comedy sketches and spoofs of popular issues at the time, ala Saturday Night Live. They were also a boyband signed to SBK/EMI records with a Billboard Hot 100 single "I've Been Waiting For You" and released the self-titled debut album as well. The Guys still have a dedicated fanbase with several web fan sites and most of the group's music videos from the show posted on YouTube. You can also find some of the various collectible items that were made such as the GND lunchbox, buttons, watches, posters, pajamas, board game and even dolls on eBay from time to time. While Chris Wolf and Bobby Leslie dropped out of the public eye after the show ended, Patrick and Eddie are still active as actors. Damon Sharpe is currently a Grammy award winning music producer and songwriter who has worked with such talents as Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Anastacia, Kelly Rowland, Big Time Rush, New Boyz and Monica.

Dudley is an American Primetime television series starring Dudley Moore and Joanna Cassidy. The series premiered April 16, 1993 on CBS, temporarily replacing on Friday primetime-slot the series Major Dad, and was canceled May 14, 1993, just one episode before its regular ending.

Daddy's Girls is an American sitcom that aired on CBS in the fall of 1994. The series followed Dudley Walker, the owner of a New York fashion house who loses his wife and his business partner when, after a years-long secret affair, they run off together leaving him as the primary caretaker to his three daughters. The series is notable as the first in which a gay principal character was played by an openly gay actor. Harvey Fierstein played Dennis Sinclair, a high-strung designer at Walker's firm. Although Fierstein earned praise for his performance, Daddy's Girls was hated by critics. New York magazine called the series "Despised, reviled." Entertainment Weekly, somewhat prophetically, found Moore to be "wan and confused." The Dallas Morning News could only say that "Daddy's Girls isn't horrendously bad" but predicted that it would not last until Christmas. Indeed, the series was placed "on hiatus" after only three episodes aired. This was Moore's penultimate on-screen job and his last regular television series. He later attributed his difficulties during the production of the show to the early stages of progressive supranuclear palsy, the disease that ultimately led to his death in 2002.
