The Master of Tai Chi is a Hong Kong martial arts television drama that aired on Jade and HD Jade from 25 February to 28 March 2008. Produced by Tommy Leung and Raymond Chai, The Master of Tai Chi is a TVB production. The drama was filmed in early 2006, and is the station's first high-definition series that was ever produced. This is TVB's custom-made series for kung-fu icon Vincent Zhao. At the request of Zhao, the main character's name has been changed from 'Wen Zhiu' to 'Mo Ma'.

In 1949, Hu Yixiong fled to Hong Kong as a refugee from Chaozhou. He saves a girl named Ayu and becomes embroiled with gangsters. He joins his fellow townsman Lin Si in the cigarette trade and forms a brotherhood with Lin Si and his partner Fei. Like its predecessor, the show follows three main characters who team up to solve unusual cases. Despite different backgrounds, they work together seamlessly to crack the cases, mainly involving organized crime. With no formal law enforcement authority, they constantly find themselves in precarious circumstances as they take on cases like revenge, medical malpractice, taxi robbery, and gang-related murder.

TONG TONG loses part of her hearing in an accident but she has a positive attitude towards life and she knows how to take good care of others. With the support of her mentor KO MING, TONG becomes a voice over talent by utilizing her lip reading ability and she meets another voice talent LEUNG KAI YIN who also has keen interest in the industry. Xianglei and Qianlong develop mutual feelings, and so do Shiyu and Kong Kong, but they face many obstacles. Ultimately, Qianlong succeeds in dismantling the Society, but Xianglei is murdered. The culprit incites more conflict to harm Qianlong, who vows to avenge Xianglei by finding the true killer.
