It was set at an esteemed performing arts college near Barcelona, Spain, and focuses on 13 teenagers who are invited to enrol at the college, Avalon Heights, over the summer. All eight members of the pop group S Club 8 star in the show alongside five other young actors and actresses and Hollywood film actor Christopher Lloyd. The show has the members of S Club 8 playing supposedly exaggerated versions of themselves, albeit with identical names to their real life counterparts. Each episode of the show includes several songs and dance numbers involving both members and non-members of the band. Cast member George Wood called the show "a modern day Fame".

The Courtroom is a British legal drama created by Phil Redmond, which aired between June and December 2004. The programme was notable for starring many former British soap stars, particularly those who starred in Redmond's other productions Brookside and Hollyoaks.

Island at War is a British television series that tells the story of the German Occupation of the Channel Islands. It primarily focuses on three local families: the upper class Dorrs, the middle class Mahys and the working class Jonases, and four German officers. The fictional island of St. Gregory serves as a stand-in for the real-life islands Jersey and Guernsey, and the story is compiled from the events on both islands. Produced by Granada Television in Manchester, Island at War had an estimated budget of £9,000,000 and was filmed on location in the Isle of Man from August 2003 to October 2003. When the series was shown in the UK, it appeared in six 70-minute episodes.

High Times is a Scottish comedy drama on STV, based around the lives of two flatmates and their neighbours in a high-rise tower block in Glasgow, in the last weeks before its closure for renovation. There are six episodes of stories interlinking the lives of a number of families. The first series of High Times won a BAFTA Scotland award in 2004 for Best Scottish television drama and was shortlisted for the 2005 Rose d'Or and Prix Italia television awards. In the same year it also won the award for Best Drama Series at the Celtic Film and Television Festival. Series 2 was nominated for a Royal Television Society award. In June 2010 it was announced that High Times would be one of the STV archive programmes to be made available on YouTube on the STV Player channel.

Close to his friends and family, and happy with this long-term girlfriend Melanie, life seems almost perfect. But when a night out with the lads takes an unexpected turn, he soon realises that the path of true love does not run smoothly.

HeadJam is a BBC television game show hosted by Vernon Kay. It originally aired during the summer of 2004 on BBC Three, with a repeat soon afterwards on BBC Two. It featured two teams, each consisting of a member of the public and a celebrity. Celebrities included Claudia Winkleman, DJ Spoony, Joe Cornish, Lauren Laverne, Natalie Casey, Paddy O'Connell, Edith Bowman, Mark Durden-Smith, Julie Fernandez and Ed Byrne. All the contestants and celebrity contestants played a variety of rounds, answering questions about popular culture. Rounds included Spoonerisms, guessing TV themes and film taglines, and general knowledge questions about specific years. The contestant with the most points at the end played a final round, named "HeadJam", in which the member of the public had to memorise and then deliver the answers to eight questions in order.

The Last Dragon, known as Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real in the United States, and also known as Dragon's World in other countries, is a docufiction made by Animal Planet that is described as the story of "the natural history of the most extraordinary creature that never existed". It posits a speculative evolution of dragons from the Cretaceous period up to the 15th century, and suppositions about what dragon life and behavior might have been like if they had existed and evolved. It uses the premise that the ubiquity of dragons in world mythology suggests that dragons could have existed. They are depicted as a scientifically feasible species of reptile that could have evolved, similar to the depiction of dragons in the Dragonology series of books. The dragons featured in the show were designed by John Sibbick. The program switches between two stories. The first uses CGI to show the dragons in their natural habitat throughout history. The second shows the story of a modern day scientist at a museum, Dr. Tanner, who believes in dragons. When the frozen remains of an unknown creature are discovered in the Carpathian Mountains, Tanner, and two colleagues from the museum, undertake the task to examine the specimen to try to save his reputation. Once there, they discover that the creature is a dragon. Tanner and his colleagues set about working out how it lived and died.

Outlaws is a new half-hour black comedy series starring Phil Daniels set in the world of duty solicitors. But Kavanagh QC it ain't. If solicitors are in the front line of the legal service, duty briefs are the advance patrols: the poor bloody infantry foraging ahead in unfamiliar territory, gleaning intelligence, securing the beachhead and digging in until morning when the top brass arrive to take the salute. I'm Famous and Frightened! is a Living TV reality TV show in which eight celebrities stayed for three nights in a "haunted" castle. They had to then do terrifying challenges in order to raise money for charity; each one was evicted until only the winner was left. From Series 2 onwards, a spin-off show, titled I'm Famous and Frightened Extra was introduced, presented by Brian Dowling.

The Alan Clark Diaries is a television serial dramatising the colourful diaries of controversial British Conservative politician Alan Clark. The six-episode series was transmissioned from 15 January to 19 February 2004 on BBC Four.

The Smoking Room is a British television sitcom written by Brian Dooley, who won a BAFTA for the series in 2005. The first series, consisting of eight episodes, was originally transmitted on BBC Three between 29 June and 17 August 2004. The Christmas Special was first transmitted on 20 December 2004. A second series of eight episodes began airing on 26 July 2005. The first series, including the Christmas Special, was released on DVD by the BBC on 6 February 2006 and on CD in a four-disc set on 4 April 2005. The second series was released on 16 October 2006; a boxed set containing both series was released on the same date. There will not be a third series; in an interview for the BBC News website on 30 November 2006, the actor Robert Webb who plays Robin, said in passing, "...there is no more Smoking Room". England's smoking ban, which prohibits indoor smoking in workplaces, came into force on 1 July 2007, as a result of which internal smoking rooms, like the one in which the series is set, became illegal.

Car Booty is a British television programme shown on BBC One as part of their daytime schedule, and is showing on Digital channel, Home. The concept of the show is for a family or group who are in need of funds to sell items from around their home at a car boot sale, in order to raise the desired amount of money. There are times when there is an antique too good for the boot sale, so coverage of a family member taking an item to a specialist is often shown. The show is presented by Lorne Spicer, who can also be seen on daytime show Money Spinners and recently on BBC's My Life For Sale'. She is joined by valuer Mark Franks and from time to time Paul Hayes, who also presents the show by himself when Lorne is not available. The show is made by Leopard Films, who also make Cash in the Attic.

The show claims to "bring together everything you need to know about creating your own dream home under one roof - expert advice, step-by-step DIY guides, tricks of the trade". A step-by-step guide to creating the perfect home, in which a 1950's run-down three-bedroom house in Bexley, Kent is renovated from scratch. The show has a central presenter in Andrea McLean, and a series of experts who offer step-by-step advice and insider knowledge on DIY.

Monarchy is a Channel 4 British TV series, 2004-2006, by British academic David Starkey, charting the political and ideological history of the English monarchy from the Saxon period to modern times. The show also aired on PBS stations throughout the United States, courtesy of PBS-member station WNET. In Australia, all four seasons were broadcast on ABC1 from May 2005 onwards.

Shane is an ITV sitcom written by and starring Frank Skinner and directed by Audrey Cooke, with the first series originally broadcast in 2004. Reviews were generally poor, but a second series was commissioned. After the second series had been recorded contract differences between Frank Skinner and ITV arose; the second series is yet to be broadcast and its future is uncertain, since Skinner no longer works for ITV. The Mysti Show was a British children's television programme, produced by Mystical Productions for the BBC in 2004-2005. It initially took the format of an hour-long programme combining magazine and narrative elements, but was subsequently reformed into a series of 20-minute, all-narrative programmes.

Murder Prevention was a British police drama inspired by the real-life Homicide Prevention Unit within the Metropolitan Police. It was produced for Five by World Productions who previously produced the television series The Cops. The series consisted of three two-part stories. Later repeats edited the two-parters so that they were screened as three longer running episodes. According to series creator Declan Croghan, "Murder Prevention is the first pre-crime drama ever, anywhere."

Pulling Moves was a Northern Irish television programme set in Lenadoon, West Belfast. It follows the exploits of four friends: Wardrobe, Ta, Shay and Darragh. Wardrobe is the leader of the group, who only loves one person, his 'wee ma' and he would do anything for her. Ta lives with Una, the mother of his kids. She is always on his case, trying to get him to leave the group, get a respectable job and make a living for her and the kids, but his nature stops him from doing this. Darragh is always trying to impress his ex-wife to allow him to keep seeing his son. Shay is the youngest in the group, and the one who always makes the mistakes. He is always getting into trouble and his mother always hopes that one day he will be able to get a job and be sensible like his wee sister Niamh. Each episode follows the guys trying different scams to earn money. These schemes vary from nobbling pigeon-racing to dog-breeding, and always with something funny happening to the group. They are joined by other various characters, including "Hoker," an anti-social element who can get anything from stolen cars to lost dogs for the crowd. Wardrobe doesn't like this guy, but Hoker is a friend of Shay's, and he's useful now and again. Crazy Horse is the local wino, he's always drunk and sitting outside the butcher's shop, and finally, Tiny Tim, who owns a pet salon, who the guys help out now and again.

Dragons Alive is a television nature documentary series about reptiles co-produced by the BBC Natural History Unit and Animal Planet. The executive producer was Sara Ford, the narrator was Lloyd Owen and the music was composed by Elizabeth Parker. The series was first broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC One beginning on 24 March 2004.

Britain's Best Sitcom was a poll conducted in 2004 by the BBC, to identify the United Kingdom's best sitcom. Viewers were asked to vote for their favourite by phone, text message and on the web. The top ten went forward to a final round of voting. Ten, one hour long programmes were made before the final round, each about one of the Top 10, the programmes consisting of a celebrity speaking on behalf of their chosen sitcom as well as interviews with the stars and people that made it. Each of these programmes consisted of the celebrity advocating the sitcom giving a list of reasons as to why viewers should vote for the sitcom being advocated, as well as featuring plugs from other famous fans of each sitcom. Jonathan Ross hosted the countdown show.

Steel River Blues is a British television drama serial first broadcast in September 2004 on ITV. based on the working and private lives of a group of firefighters in Middlesbrough. Critics were quick to dub the new drama "Middlesbrough's Burning" or "Teesside's Burning", after the popular fire-fighting drama that preceded it, London's Burning, yet there were very few similarities between the two, apart from them being about the business of firefighting. Like its predecessor, Steel River Blues was an ensemble drama without any single starring part, though perhaps the best-known actor was Daniel Casey, who was previously a co-star in ITV's ratings banker, Midsomer Murders. The show's title song was performed by Middlesbrough-born Chris Rea. It was announced in January 2005 that the series would not be recommissioned.

Borat's Television Programme is a two-part compilation spin-off of Da Ali G Show by British television station Channel 4. The show features Borat Sagdiyev in the United States learning about the local culture and customs, much in the vein of the later movie Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. The two episodes contain Borat and Brüno segments from Ali G in da USA, along with new and unseen interviews and shenanigans.

Bamzooki is a mixed reality television gameshow on the BBC which features a toolkit developed by Gameware Development. The first series aired in March 2004 on CBBC. The show was presented by Jake Humphrey. It has occasionally featured specials with Sophie McDonnell. In July 2008, it was announced on CBBC on BBC One that Bamzooki was returning. A new thirteen part series began in November 2009 and was now hosted by Barney Harwood and Gemma Hunt.

Help! I'm A Teenage Outlaw is a British television programme filmed in the Czech Republic and first aired on CITV. The show follows three hapless outlaws during the English Civil War, who are trying to bring justice back to the land.

The Last Chancers was originally a one-off television sitcom, screened under the Comedy Lab banner at 11:40pm on Thursday 21 November 2002. This show was later developed into a five-part series which was broadcast on E4 in December 2002. Johnny, Paul, Dan and Brian are a bunch of twentysomethings living in Brighton and struggling to make something of their band.

Orange Playlist is a British music chat show TV series, produced by INITIAL, a subsidiary of Endemol UK for the ITV Network. The third series was presented by Jayne Middlemiss. A different guest each week joins Middlemiss to discuss their lives, nominating a variety of songs to be played, one from their future, past and present, as well as their favourite track of all time. The show was originally presented by Lauren Laverne.

Mine All Mine is a British television drama produced by Red Production Company for ITV. It was written by Russell T Davies and stars Griff Rhys Jones as Max Vivaldi, who has always believed that he owns the town of Swansea, thanks to an ancient ancestral document that hangs on his wall.
