Canal Road is an Australian television drama series on the Nine Network. The series was produced in-house, under producer Susan Bower, in collaboration with writers Sarah Smith, John Ridley and Dave Warner, and directed by Kevin Carlin. It was filmed at Channel Nine’s GTV Studio 11 and on location in and around Melbourne. The series reportedly cost A$10 million to produce. The 13-part series went to air from 16 April 2008. The series debuted to mixed critical reception and only average ratings, which were further eroded when the series was moved to a later timeslot. Nine removed Canal Road from its schedules after the seventh episode, which drew in only 360,000 viewers; however the eighth episode was still made available online. Nine aired the remaining episodes during August and December 2008. Canal Road was released on DVD on 4 August 2008 in Australia.

Grass Roots is an Australian television series produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation between 2000 and 2003. The series is set around the fictional Arcadia Waters Council near Sydney, and was primarily a satirical look at the machinations of local government. It was written by Geoffrey Atherden. Part of the series was filmed in the inner west Sydney suburb of Concord. Many external shots of Arcadia waters Council chambers used Concord Council Chambers as a setting and as was other various locations around Concord, particularly in the shopping centre and cafes in Majors Bay Road. Beach scenes were filmed at Mona Vale, New South Wales on Sydney's northern beaches, while the location "Cemetery Point" was filmed at the Mona Vale headland reserve.
Going Home was a drama television series produced by the SBS network in Australia that aired from 2000 to 2001. Scripted, filmed, edited and broadcast on the same day, Going Home was set in a nightly inter-urban commuter train. A group of regular train travelers are featured on their daily commute in a blend of up-to-the-minute commentary on the news and events of the day, together with the unfolding dramas in their lives. Tripping Over is a British/Australian six-part drama series. Its first episode aired on Network Ten in Australia on 25 October 2006, and in the United Kingdom on Five on 30 October 2006. In the UK Tripping Over is repeated on Five Life. The show is about three friends in London and two friends in Sydney, neither group knows each other but their parents do. They both take flights to each other's countries, and the two groups meet at the stop-over in Bangkok, where a tragic event changes their lives. The series then follows the two groups of friends as they continue on their trips to each other's countries and back home. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is an Australian quiz show produced by Roving Enterprises that debuted on Network Ten on 26 September 2007. It is hosted by popular TV personality Rove McManus. Filming for the show commenced on 11 September 2007 at Global Television Studios in Forest Hill. McManus inspected the United States production of the show while in the United States of America hosting his show Rove. The children for the 2007 series were all students who were currently enrolled in grade five and were aged 10 or 11. They had to compete against many other fifth graders to win the roles. 5th Grader games are played by a single contestant, who attempts to answer ten questions. Content is taken from primary school textbooks, two from each grade level from first to fifth. Each correct answer increases the amount of money the player banks; a maximum cash prize of A$500,000 can be won. Along the way, the player can be assisted by a "classmate", one of five cast members, in answering the questions. Notably, upon getting an answer incorrect or deciding to end the game, the contestant must profess to the camera "My name is contestants name and I am not smarter than a fifth grader!"
Escape from Scorpion Island is a BAFTA-nominated BBC children's TV adventure game show in which contestants try to 'escape from an exotic island with a mind of its own' by doing various challenges to improve their chances of escaping. Series 1 was made by RDF Television for CBBC. Series 2 onwards were produced by Foundation/Freehand for CBBC and ABC Television in Australia. Its fifth series was broadcast in 2011. A sixth series was confirmed and due to air in late 2013. Each series contains a different number of contestants who work in set teams to try to escape the sentient island. The contestants are children who are 11–14 years old. Each series introduces a different number of contestants, new challenges and different storylines.
The Amazing Race Asia is a reality game show based on the American series The Amazing Race. On 17 October 2005, CBS gave other countries the chance to franchise The Amazing Race. The Asian cable TV network AXN Asia was among the first to acquire the rights to produce a version for its territories. The show is produced by Australian television production company ActiveTV, for AXN, in association with Buena Vista International Television-Asia Pacific. The host for the show is Singapore based Chinese-American actor Allan Wu. The ultimate prize is US$100,000, whilst the American show gives away US$1,000,000. The general manager of SPE Networks-Asia which runs AXN, Ricky Ow explained the smaller prize, saying, "It is not really about the money but the adventure and opportunity to be in one of the world's greatest reality shows".

CBBC currently have no plans for it to be re-aired, the last re-run being in 2008. In 2002, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awarded the first series Best Children's Drama. Jeopardy still airs in Australia on ABC3 and, as of 10 September 2010, ABC1.

The WotWots is a New Zealand children's television show which debuted in 2009. The show features a pair of young alien twin siblings who spend their days exploring the environment where their steam-powered spaceship has landed. DottyWot, the smart and responsible ship's captain, spends most of her time riding herd on her more boisterous, fun-loving brother SpottyWot, the ship's mechanic. Episodes are set in the zoo, at the farm, or on the beach and most often tie their discovery of an animal characteristic into their own adventures.
