The Richard Blackwood Show was a UK television series starring comedian Richard Blackwood. The show was broadcast from 1999 to 2001 on Channel 4. It included features such as interviews, pranks and stand-up comedy routines. There were noticeable changes as the series progressed. The show was cancelled after one series. The guests on the initial 5 episodes were TQ, Melanie B, LFO, LL Cool J, Will Smith and Don King.

During the cold war, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force jointly developed a nuclear submarine with the United States Navy. On its maiden voyage, the captain of the submarine declares the submarine to be an independent state, "Yamato."

The World's Most Dangerous Magic was the title of two American television specials showcasing illusion and escapology acts, which were made for the NBC network. The first was originally broadcast on 27 April 1998 and the second, titled The World's Most Dangerous Magic 2, was initially aired on 2 May 1999. The shows were the brainchild of producer Gary Ouellet and were made by the Gary L Pudney Company. They featured a combination of famous performers and lesser-known magicians, each performing stunts or illusions that were claimed to involve the risk of death or serious injury. While some stunts clearly involved genuine life-threatening danger should anything have gone wrong, the risk of injury in others was open to question. In the first show, The Pendragons performed the illusion Impaled, which was described as a "balancing feat" in which Charlotte Pendragon risked fatal impalement should it go wrong. However this is a well known illusion in the general repertoire of stage magic in which the performer is not actually in danger of genuine impalement. The Pendragons' presentation of this illusion is nevertheless rated by many magicians as possibly the best ever version of the trick.

The main character of this story, 14-year-old Maciek Łańko, lives in an orphanage. His mother is dead, he doesn't know his father, actually knows nothing for sure about him. Meanwhile, Władysław Michalski, an officer - mechanic of a merchant ship, learns that Maciej is his son. She wants to meet the boy, so she takes him to Gdańsk for a day, pretending to be his "uncle". The time spent together results in mutual sympathy, the man and the boy would like to stay together.

Pulling Power was a regional motoring programme shown only in the Central Television region on ITV in 1996. However, it returned in 2005 and was shown on the ITV1 on a series trial basis until 2008, and it was also as a filler programme at times. It has also been shown on ITV4. The dodgy business deals of an older brother finally catch up with him, forcing him and his blameless younger brother to seek refuge in the family theme park business in Blackpool. The tension of this drama series, which ran for seven episodes in 1990, is whether or not Howitt's character can stay on the straight and narrow or if he will end up getting himself or his brother killed.

In 1998 CITV premiered Cleopatra's one hour Christmas special for their brand new sitcom. With a host of stars to help launch the show it was a ratings smash. The show was twenty minutes per episode and followed the girls' lives on tour and at home with their family. The girls' mother and younger sister were featured as themselves. The show had two seasons: Season 1 'Comin' Atcha' and Season 2 'In The House' and was shown in numerous countries. Both seasons were number one in their time slots.

The Sunday Programme was GMTV's political programme. It launched on 16 October 1994 as a replacement for Sunday Best, which was GMTV's original Sunday morning magazine. The programme aired between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, just after The Sunday Review (a 60-minute signed review of the week's news). It was originally presented by Alastair Stewart, who left in 2001, and Steve Richards took over. From 1995 to 2001, the programme was called Alastair Stewart's Sunday Programme, but this was changed when Alastair left in 2001. In 2008, the programme was quietly axed and replaced with children's programming.

The Mayfair Set is a series of programmes produced by Adam Curtis for the BBC, first broadcast in the summer of 1999. The programme looked at how buccaneer capitalists of hot money were allowed to shape the climate of the Thatcher years, focusing on the rise of Colonel David Stirling, Jim Slater, James Goldsmith, and Tiny Rowland, all members of London's Clermont Club in the 1960s.

Radio Roo was a children's television programme which featured the adventures of Dennis and Clive, who run a radio station, Radio Roo, based in England that Clive inherited. The show ran for a total of 31 episodes from 1991 to 1993 on the BBC. All episodes were written by Wayne Jackman, who starred as Dennis. The broad Australian accent of Clive the Kangaroo was provided by Ian Tregonning.

"Bakkar" is the name of an Egyptian cartoon series and the main character in the series who tells of his adventures. Bakkar is a young boy who belongs to a Nuba village in southern Egypt and finds himself in the adventures of himself and his friends. He helps the police solve the puzzles because he feels responsible for his community. At the end of each episode, he presents a moral message to children, belonging and patriotism. The series produced a very great success, and Bakkar's character was the first Egyptian cartoon character to come out
