Unnatural Acts was a 1998 sketch comedy series written by Julian Barratt, Seán Cullen, Rich Easter, and Rich Fulcher on the Paramount Comedy Channel, now known as Comedy Central.

After a corporate restructuring, Mr. Ogura, an aging manager, is assigned to run La Mer, a French restaurant in Japan. Joe Satake, a very talented French Japanese wine expert, has been asked by Ms. Katagiri, Mr. Ogura's immediate supervisor, to help. Using his expertise and keen observation skills, Joe is a genius in selecting the right wine for every occasion for his customers. He is very eccentric and has high standards, demanding that the wine be properly handled and appreciated.

Streetmate was a dating game show in the UK that first aired on Channel 4 from 30 October 1998 to 9 March 2001 and ran for 3 series. It was hosted by Davina McCall. It returned on 27 September 2007 but it moved to ITV2 as part of the channel's XXL Thursday line-up. It was then hosted by Holly Willoughby for one series. The idea behind the series is that the presenter has first to pick an eligible male or female from passers-by, and then with their help, approach equally eligible members of the opposite or the same sex for a date. The couple then go on the date, reporting back on its success or failure. Sketch show Studio Julmahuvi ran for 8 episodes on YLE in 1998. The show is a parody of YLE's own programming, squeezing an entire evening's worth of programming into a half-hour show which included everything from news and weather to a children's show and a German police drama, with commercials and TV-spots on the side. The show was created with an impressive budget of 67 000 € per episode which resulted in extremely high production-values.

Die Vierde Kabinet revolves around corruption in the police and the Organised Crime Unit, the hated internal investigation unit of the police who set traps for and spy on other police units to try and uncover corrupt members. The same corrupt police attempt to turn the tables by trying to find information about who is in this specialised unit. The files were placed in filing cabinets, taken to a secret place and destroyed with explosives. But in the atmosphere of panic and disorder a cabinet - the so-called "fourth cabinet" - got lost and was forgotten. In 1997, Bonnie Badenhorst (Vanessa Pike), a policewoman attached to the special police unit investigating corruption, discovers the cabinet. Badenhorst, whose brother died in Angola, decides to remove the cabinet and hide it without informing her colleagues.

The drama aired from April to June 1998, and was later released on VHS in 2000. The drama is about two amateur radio DJs that find out they were in love with the same man.

The cast of More Tears also included Hrant Alianak, Yank Azman, Arsinée Khanjian, Leah Pinsent, Evan Solomon, and Kenny Vadas. Finkleman's next project for the CBC was the series Foolish Heart.
