One By One is a British television series made by the BBC between 1984 and 1987. It ran for 3 series including 2 Christmas specials, from 21 June 1996 to 25 December 1998, and was shown on BBC1. The show was set on a desert island. The contestants were children and were in teams of two. The contestants won prizes and coconuts and whoever had the most coconuts at the end of the show won the game. There were tasks such as the Chuckle Challenge and the Chuckle Chuck, where contestants would throw custard pies at Paul and Barry and if they failed to hit both of them three times in a minute, then the contestants would have custard pies put in their faces. Each episode would also have a celebrity guest, someone who was famous for being on TV at the time, such as Richard McCourt, Dave Benson-Phillips, Michaela Strachan and Mr. Blobby.

Silas was a 1981 ZDF Adventure TV mini-series based on the Danish children's book „Silas og den sorte hoppe“ by Cecil Bødker who kept on writing instalments until 2001. The series was Patrick Bach's debut and because the series did so well he also starred the very next year in another adventure series about a young orphan: Jack Holborn Silas was a German production and filmed solely in German. Still it received attention beyond German-speaking countries and consequently the successor Jack Holborn involved international producers and was filmed in English.

Drop Dead Gorgeous is a British comedy-drama for BBC Three. Set in Runcorn, it tells the story of 15-year-old Ashley Webb, whose life is turned upside-down when she is approached by a spotter from a local modelling agency. Events move at lightning speed and the whole family, including Ashley's fraternal twin sister Jade, are affected. The first episode was shown on BBC Three on Sunday, 11 June 2006 at 10pm, with weekly episodes until the finale, which aired on 2 July 2006. The first series was shown for the first time on BBC One in August 2007, in the run up to the premiere of the second series on BBC Three. The second series began on 16 September 2007 at 9pm, again with weekly episodes until the finale on 22 October 2007. As yet, the BBC have not cleared the series for release on DVD.
