Hikoichi is the boss of a yakuza family, "Tsubasa-kai". One day he receives a sudden order from the main branch of his family...only to become a helper at a senior care home. Regardless of this unbearable order, he reluctantly obeys to keep his chance of becoming an executive in the future. But he soon finds out that he was not the only yakuza working there. A Man's Story

The Slingshot is a 2009 South Korean television series starring Park Yong-ha, Park Si-yeon, Kim Kang-woo, Han Yeo-woon, Lee Phillip, and Park Ki-woong. It aired on KBS2 from April 6 to June 9, 2009 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 for 20 episodes. The Slingshot is about a wronged hero who gets himself thrown in jail, then formulates the ultimate plan for vengeance by enlisting the help of a few prison buddies to form a team, and beating the villain at his own game. It won Best Drama Series at the 2009 Seoul International Drama Awards. This was Park Yong-ha's last acting project before he committed suicide in June 2010.

Morning, which it replaced starting April 8, 2007, on TV Tokyo and later throughout the country on several other television networks, in High Definition. The show stars Morning Musume members, who incarnate the roles of several different animals working under the rule of the young and mildly despotic King Akachin —whose name derives from the Japanese word for "baby" —ruler of the fictional Kingdom of Haromoni. The final episode of the series aired on September 28, 2008.

Holmes Inspection is a 2009 Canadian home renovation series on HGTV, hosted by general contractor Mike Holmes. It is the third of Holmes' renovation series, following Holmes on Homes and Holmes in New Orleans. The format of the series is similar to those of his previous series Holmes on Homes, where Mike enters a home in need of repair and often finds substandard work. However, unlike Holmes on Homes, whose focus was on substandard work done by fraudulent or poor-quality contractors, the focus of Holmes Inspection is on homeowners who have been victimized solely as a result of poor home inspections. In the United States, the series debuted on HGTV on Sunday, December 19, 2010.

Two Thousand Acres of Sky was a TV drama which aired on BBC Television from 2001 to 2003. It is also syndicated in the United States on PBS. It was created and written by Timothy Prager. The Executive Producer was Adrian Bate. The show takes place on the fictional island of Ronansay off the coast of Skye. The actual filming location was the sea-side village of Port Logan. In 2008, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation created a remake of the series called Himmelblå taking place on the island of Ylvingen, which is the island's actual name, in the county of Nordland in northern Norway. The show has been a formidable success in Norway with 1.2 million viewers at the start of the second season, 57.2% of the total amount of viewers in Norway. The first season of Himmelblå was aired by the Swedish public broadcaster SVT and by the Icelandic public broadcaster RUV during the autumn 2009.

Upstaged was a 2008 multi-platform talent show aired on the Internet, BBC Red Button and BBC Three. Upstaged contenders were voted into two glass-fronted studios in Millennium Square, Bristol, where they had to entertain for six hours at a time, with only a few breaks allowed. During the heats, acts were chosen by Internet voters, with the winners of each day performing the next day for a maximum of four days in a row. Highlights were shown on BBC Three on Friday nights throughout February 2008 and daily from mid-March, and were presented by DJ Scott Mills. The eight acts who won the most days, or by the highest percentage, made it to the finals week, which started on 24 March. The quarter finalists were bluegrass musicians The Carrivick Sisters, Polekitten pole dancing team, Badger Trap, Perth singer Don1977, Raving Loonies Stole My Heart, Dizzi Dulcimer, Youstage: Vloggers From The UK and wildcard Terry the Odd Job Man, a creation of comedian Jody Kamali, who had knocked singer-songwriter Chris Cohen out at the last minute. The semi-finals were on 28 March when Youstage won against Polekitten and 29 March with Don1977 winning his heat against student comedians Raving Loonies Stole My Heart.

Malviviendo is an online series produced by Diffferent and directed by David Sainz. In July 2011, the show released its fourteenth episode. The first episode launched in November 24, 2008 and became successful in a few months with positive reviews by the public. It employs mostly amateur actors, and those involved in the series do it for free. The series is set in the fictional neighborhood of "Los Banderilleros" of the Spanish city of Seville. The characters are a group of friends trapped in their everyday bad lives related to consumption of cannabis or other problems individual to each character. The show contains allusions to and parodies of a variety of other series, including Dexter, My Name Is Earl, The Sopranos, Lost, ALF, The X-Files, Prison Break, Sex and the City, The Brady Bunch, South Park, Boardwalk Empire, The IT Crowd and How I Met Your Mother. Also the Spanish program Callejeros chain Cuatro in the fifth episode called Callejosos. In the third episode of the second season spoof the header of the series Misfits, but the content of the episode is a parody of the movie Inception. In June 2009, the series got the support of Qualid. There it launched two mini-episodes minicapítulos. One focused on the character of Mateo and the other in "el Puto".

An entire city is destroyed by two monstrous and omnipotent beings. Genzou Kuruma, a scientist but also the leader of a sect wishes to awake God, but first, he needs a special kind of blood for it. His son, Shinichi Kuruma, and a young girl, Ayaka Sanders, possess that blood, and he will do anything to capture them and take their blood for God's Awakening, and so, humanity will be lost. Shinichi, along Ayaka and Tomizoro (Tommy), are escaping from Genzou Kuruma's "New Humans" (genetically altered humans who can turn into monsters), while Shinichi only wishes for revenge against his father. He, like the other "New Humans", has the power to summon different beasts from his body. With this power, he will fight until Genzou Kuruma is killed by his own hands.

Hatsumi Kitahara (Akiko Yada) is a 26-year-old dental hygienist living with her father Kyotaro (Kyozo Nagatsuka) and grandmother Hanako (Yoko Nogiwa). Her ideas of happiness is to have an ordinary life, get a job then get married then live life happily ever after. She has been living carefree by herself since she was in college. But six months ago, due to her mother¹s death she has started to live with her father again. Every day is now filled with small conflicts. Hatsumi works at a dental office operated by Ryohei Noma (Manabu Oshio). Her co-workers are all female, further attesting the fact that she has no luck with men. Then one day all of a sudden Ryohei proposes to her. Furthermore Keiichiro Fujita, an IT millionaire, asks her out to dinner. Then she meets her ex boyfriend a second time, which wants to be with her again. Now all of a sudden her surroundings are in a flurry. The father daughter living is now swept up in a wave of upheaval. Hatsumi willy-nilly must now face her "marriage" and "family". The battle for her life and dreams now begins.
