Four of a Kind

Four of a Kind is a reality series that airs on Lifetime in the United States and TVtropolis in Canada. It is produced by Asylum Entertainment. The program follows the Durst sisters, Calli, Kendra, Megan, and Sarah, quadruplets who live in Buffalo, Minnesota. The Dursts are one of about 60 known sets of quadruplets worldwide. The program also features their mother, Naomi, and older brother, Travis. The sisters appeared on several television programs as pre-schoolers, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Today Show. During the girls' senior year, their mother agreed to a proposed reality program for an amount that would considerably cover the sisters' college education. For three months in 2010, a film crew followed the sisters during their senior year of high school, with the resulting series premiering on March 15, 2011. According to Lifetime, the program is intended to portray the lives of the girls as they deal with the usual trappings of adolescence, as well as Naomi facing an "empty nest" as the sisters leave home for college.

Born Behind Bars

Nearly 75,000 women enter American prisons annually and as many as 10 percent of them are pregnant at the time of their incarceration. In most prisons, the babies are separated from their mothers immediately following birth. A few penitentiaries, however, offer programs that allow the women to raise their children inside of a maximum security prison. This show goes inside the Wee Ones Program at the Indiana Women's Prison, following several inmates at various stages of the program as they navigate the volatile prison environment while raising their babies. "Babies Behind Bars" also profiles staffers -- including tough-love guards and inmate nannies -- who help care for the newborns.

Nik Wallenda: Beyond Niagara

Nik Wallenda: Beyond Niagara was an American documentary/reality television program that aired on The Science Channel. The hour-long show followed daredevil and highwire artist Nik Wallenda and his family as they traveled the country performing dangerous feats. It focused on the science and engineering that go into Wallenda's acts, as he pushes "the limits of science further than ever before." According to Science Channel's general manager Debbie Adler Myers, the program gave "viewers some insight into the passion, skills, ingenuity and science behind the thrills, that has driven the Wallendas to world-renowned fame." Beyond Niagara officially premiered on June 18, 2012 under the title Danger By Design. However, the show's pilot episode had previously aired in 2010 under the title Life on a Wire, before Discovery decided to hold the show until after Nik Wallenda's highly publicized wire walk over Niagara Falls on June 15, 2012. After the first two episodes aired, Discovery renamed the show Nik Wallenda: Beyond Niagara. The next week, on July 2, it was put "on hold" and pulled from the schedule. On the decision to cancel the show, Wallenda commented: "There was really no marketing done on it, and it went through three name changes, so it's really not that surprising." He did, however, say the show had gained some traction overseas, so there was a possibility it could have a second life abroad. The Science Channel declined to comment on their decision. On July 8, the show premiered in India under the Danger by Design title. On July 11, it premiered in Malaysia, also under the Danger title.
