The Oz Kids is a American animated fantasy comedy-drama television series produced by Hyperion Animation based on The Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum's classic children's novel, and its various sequels. and was first broadcast on September 14, 1996 on Disney's ABC. The two main characters of this series are both human: Dot and Neddie. The major characters are Boris and Bela, Tin Boy, Scarecrow Jr., Jack Pumpkinhead, Jr., Frank, and Andrea, daughter of Glinda. Similar to series like Muppet Babies, the faces of the grown-ups are never shown.

Dick and Paula Celebrity Special was a Soup2Nuts animated series that aired on FX from 1999 to 2000. The premise of the show was that Dick and Paula hosted a talk show where famous individuals, usually deceased, talked about their work or what made them widely known. Examples of such guests include Charles Darwin, Marquis de Sade, Oedipus Rex, and Lewis and Clark, among many others. Accompanying the two hosts was a Paul Shaffer-esque keyboard player. This premise bears similarities with that of Steve Allen's Meeting of Minds. The series, like Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, the first season of Home Movies, and Science Court, was animated in Squigglevision, a computer animation technique that caused the edges of people and important objects to vibrate constantly. Also like those series, Dick and Paula utilized retroscripting for much of the dialog, in that a basic outline is given and the actors improvise the dialog. Later, the dialog is edited to a coherent script.

The high-voiced Stott brothers--who appeared in Vic Reeves Big Night Out --return to terrorise celebrities. The show capitalised on the duo's success with the spoof game show Shooting Stars and brought in a darker edge to their humour.

The two remaining members, Hayashi & Miyake, are trying desperately to convince their schoolmates to join the club. They managed to recruit Inohara, Nagano, Sakamoto & Okada to make up the team, however Hayashi is unfortunately killed in an accident. Shortly after, Morita, who is a dead ringer for Hayashi, is transferred to Tsukimi High from another school. Although the rest of the volleyball club members are perplexed by his likeness to the late Hayashi, Morita soon wins over their trust, with his enthusiasm and passion for the game. And so, starts their amazing journey to win the Inter-high Volleyball championship...

Local Heroes is an award-winning science and history television programme in the United Kingdom, presented by Adam Hart-Davis. Made by Screenhouse Productions and directed by Paul Bader, it was first aired on the ITV regional network Yorkshire Television in 1991. In the show, Adam Hart-Davis, dressed in the pink and yellow cycling clothes that would became the show's trademark, rode around the YTV region on a matching pink and yellow bicycle, stopping in a particular area to tell the stories of scientists that lived or were born there. These stories were embellished by experiments, performed on the street by Hart-Davis, generally using bits of wood and junk from a trailer on his bike.

Encounters: The Hidden Truth was an hour-long TV series that featured real-life stories of paranormal phenomena. The format featured a host and a team of reporters presenting 3 or 4 stories per episode dealing with UFOs, crop circles, exorcism, prophets, psychics, reincarnation, and other supernatural phenomena, in a news/documentary style. The stories unfolded through witness interviews and reenactments of the events. The host and reporters discussed their reactions to some of the stories. Encounters aired on the Fox network and was used mainly as a summer replacement series and fill-in show for other canceled series. The show first aired during the summer of 1994 in the time slot before Fox's hit series The X-Files. The show then aired sporadically with different nights and times. In the final 3 editions of the show, Steven Williams replaced John Marshall as the host. Two of those episodes aired in November 1995 and the final episode aired on January 23, 1996.

Night Fever was a karaoke style show airing in the United Kingdom on Channel 5 from 5 April 1997 to 30 March 2002. It was hosted by Suggs and in the early series, he was helped by 'The Big Guy in the Sky' - a disembodied voice giving the scores, and later by 'Wolfie' - John Ireland dressed as Mozart. Later series were co-hosted by Will Mellor and Sarah Cawood replaced later by Kieron Elliott and Danielle Nicholls. The programme often had themed shows such as Valentine's Day. Also, Suggs was helped by Pop Monkey who supposedly gave Suggs the choices of songs.

Despite being transferred to an obscure department, the main character of this family drama nevertheless sees his position in the company to be just as important as his role in his family. His skills as family peacekeeper are constantly challenged by his younger sister, his brother and his fiancée's mother.
