Matchpoint was a daytime game show based on tennis and aired on BBC1 for one series in 1990, the programme was hosted by Angela Rippon. On each edition, two teams of two contestants compete for a place in the quarterfinals by answering questions. For each correct answer they would score the points as in a tennis match e.g. 15,30,40,Game. Each programme was played by the best of 3 'Sets' and the team who won 2 sets won the show and moved onto the quarterfinals while the losing team went away with a bottle of champagne and a punnet of strawberries. The prize for the winning team at the end was a trip to that year's Wimbledon event.

The Dave Thomas Comedy Show was a sketch-based, half-hour, five-week summer replacement series, which aired on CBS in the summer of 1990. The show starred Canadian comedian Dave Thomas, who is best known for an earlier sketch comedy series, SCTV. Thomas himself served as head writer, while the writing staff included Hollywood scriptwriter Ed Solomon and future celebrity Mike Myers. The series debuted May 28, 1990.

Guys Next Door is an American television series aired on NBC in the 1990-1991 season as part of its Saturday lineup. The show starred Patrick J. Dancy, Eddie Garcia, Bobby Leslie, Damon Sharpe and Christopher Wolf. Most of the show centered on comedy sketches and spoofs of popular issues at the time, ala Saturday Night Live. They were also a boyband signed to SBK/EMI records with a Billboard Hot 100 single "I've Been Waiting For You" and released the self-titled debut album as well. The Guys still have a dedicated fanbase with several web fan sites and most of the group's music videos from the show posted on YouTube. You can also find some of the various collectible items that were made such as the GND lunchbox, buttons, watches, posters, pajamas, board game and even dolls on eBay from time to time.
