As luck would have it, Ch. 7 recognised right away a hit, and bought the right to the story for its Wednesday & Thursday primetime slot. "Sapan Dao" became one of ch. 7 biggest hits for 1999 and made Art an overnight sensation in the process.

Clive Francis played the main character, and the producer was Ed Bye. The writers for the pilot were Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, while the first and second series were written by Naylor and various co-writers, including Steve Punt and Paul Alexander.

The Pacific Century was a 1992 PBS Emmy Award winning ten part documentary series narrated by Peter Coyote about the rise of the Pacific Rim economies. Alex Gibney was the writer for the series, and Frank Gibney, his father, wrote the companion trade book, The Pacific Century: America and Asia in a Changing World. The companion college telecourse, Pacific Century: The Emergence of Modern Pacific Asia, was written and edited by Mark Borthwick. The series was a co-production of the Pacific Basin Institute and KCTS-TV in Seattle. Principle funding was provided by the Annenberg Foundation.

The show was noted for its bizarre end game, which featured two couples gambling their automobiles for the chance to win a new one. The winning team received the new car, while the losing couple's car was dropped into a car crusher and destroyed, with their bus fare home being given as a consolation prize.

Chris Cross was a children's sitcom co-produced by Central TV and Cinar, in association with Showtime, in 1993. Based in an English boarding school, it dealt with the transition from single to mixed-sex, and the rivalry between two male characters. It was filmed on location at Thoresby Hall, Nottinghamshire, England. It starred Canadian actress Rachel Blanchard, as the character Dinah.

The main characters of the series are the members of the German Family Sattmann, who have been spending their holidays for years in the fictional village of Lahnenberg in the Tyrolean Zillertal. The story begins with real excerpts from the TV show "Let's Go!"
