The Magic Comedy Strip was a British TV magic show that aired in 1992. The show featured a mix of resident (David Williamson, Ruby Cody, and The Pendragons) and guest performers. They were joined by comedians, special guests, and watched by a studio audience. The show generally opened with The Pendragons, or a guest illusionist, presenting a grand illusion, followed by a short comedy set. After the first commercial break, a guest magician would perform, followed by another comedian. After the second commercial break, the special guest would participate in a skit with a magician, and then the show would close with a grand illusions from The Pendragons.

In 2000, the show became Rugemania. The show was notable for featuring almost entirely children and teenagers as performers and hosts, and it consisted of various segments of singing, dancing, and acting. The dance group was known as the Ballet De Marjorie Flores after its teacher and choreographer.

Bonnie Hunt played Bonnie Kennedy, a commercial actress who was jilted by her fiance shortly before the show started and moved back to Chicago to pick up the pieces of her life in an apartment across from Wrigley Field. The series focused on Kennedy's struggles and the characters who lived in her apartment building. Making heavy use of Second City alum, the show was also filmed live; mistakes, accidents, and forgotten lines were often left in the aired episode.

Taxicab Confessions is a television series of hidden camera documentaries that have aired on HBO since January 1995. In segments taped in New York City and Las Vegas, the taxi drivers are also producers who steer both the vehicle and the conversations with passengers. When passengers enter the cab, they are recorded with several small cameras hidden in the taxi. The producer prompts passengers into discussing their past and/or present circumstances. This has led some participants to reflect on their life, recalling extreme tragedies or triumphs. Much is verbally or visually graphic, including explicit sex talk and sex acts performed in the back seat. At the end of the taxi ride, passengers are asked to sign waivers allowing the hidden camera footage to be used on the program, and footage of this revelation is sometimes seen during the closing credits.

The Bozo Super Sunday Show is the final version of WGN-TV's 40+ year-old Bozo series, which aired on Sunday mornings for seven seasons. It was taped in Chicago. The lead star of the show was Bozo the Clown, played by Joey D'Auria. The last episode was taped on October 25, 2000 and featured a cameo appearance by Roy Brown as Cooky the Cook, Bozo's sidekick on WGN's previous Bozo series, Bozo's Circus and The Bozo Show. The vast majority of Bozo stations had discontinued their Bozo franchises in the early 1970s, with the exception of a few stations that had revivals in the late 1980s.
