‘Adult E-Tele Time Machine’ (Otona no E-Tele Time Machine) is a television programme that has been broadcast on NHK E-Tele since 2 April 2024. It expands upon ‘E-Tele Time Machine’, which has been broadcast since 7 April 2023, to include educational programmes, variety shows and classical music programmes, including those on NHK General TV. There are 30-minute and 50-minute versions; the former focuses on educational programmes such as rakugo, cooking and hobbies, whilst the latter focuses on cultural programmes such as classical music, art and documentaries. Some programmes are available via NHK On Demand.

When his only daughter, Yukari, is drawn into a life of delinquency, a father must confront her, and himself, through months of anguish and uncertainty. What follows is an unimaginably difficult road toward her recovery, a journey so raw and resonant it struck a nerve nationwide and became a genuine social phenomenon.  This is a TV drama adaptation of a memoir of the same title by actor Takanobu Hozumi, portraying the importance of "the bond between parent and child."

Funky Fables (“Ponkikki Meisaku World”) was a segment of the ‘Hirake! Ponkikki’ which adapted various classic stories. In the early 90s the show was dubbed into English by Saban Entertainment.

Mizushima Yuki is a modern girl who believes that career and marriage alone are not enough. "I want to be fulfilled, but I don't want to struggle". The story depicts how Yuki gradually becomes an adult woman by being exposed to the lifestyles of the women around her and how issues such as marriage, money, and fashion are intertwined with the progress of her love life while also proving that "the world is not all good."

This drama was filmed on location in the beautiful surroundings of the state of Oregon, US. It poignantly deals with the difficulties faced by Akira, a nine-year-old Japanese boy who is sent to live in America with his aunt and her family after his parents die in a traffic accident in Tokyo. Making the adjustment is not easy at first, but as the story unfolds, Akira courageously learns to face the challenges of his new life, strongly supported by the love of his new family and the kindness of their neighbors. The series is sure to warm the hearts of viewers of all ages.

Grandma (played by Shimura) and Chiemi Hori treat dinner guests to dinner at homes and gatherings of friends across the country, selected from an open call for entries, and play games and brag about their homes. The talk show was a variety of home visits, with Shimura providing the entertainment at key points.

Super High Speed Galvion features mecha designs by Ohata Koichi (of Gunbuster fame). In the 23rd century billionaire Midoriyama Rei creates a secret organization called Circus to combat a hidden group called Shadow that is taking over the world. When she can't find qualified pilots for Circus' main mecha, the Galvion, she cuts a deal with two convicts, Mu and Maya, to lead the fight against Shadow.
