Central Weekend

Central Weekend is a British television debate show which ran from 1986 to 2001. Known for the confrontational nature of its studio audience and topics, it was presented for many years by Nicky Campbell. It was broadcast late on a Friday night in the Central region, and debated various topics and current affairs issues - usually subjects that had been featured in the week's news. Though Campbell was the main host, there were a number of other presenters who joined him throughout the show's time on air. These included Anna Soubry, Adrian Mills, Kaye Adams, Sue Jay, Roger Cook, Bibi Baskin, Paul Ross, John Stapleton, James Whale, Ed Doolan, Victoria Derbyshire, Patricia Mitchell and Claudia Winkleman.

The Shadow Trader

This two-part mini-series is set in an 80s 'New Auckland' world of mirror glass and murderous corporate conspiracy. British actor James Faulkner (latterly Bridget Jones' Uncle Geoffrey) plays a shady developer with a smash and burn approach to urban planning. Blocking his utopian waterfront scheme is a cafe. The inheritors of the greasy spoon — and a racehorse — are a duo of feisty femmes: working class Tammy (Annie Whittle), and art consultant Joanna (Miranda Harcourt). The Shadow Trader marked an early producing credit for Finola Dwyer (An Education).

Dodger, Bonzo and the Rest

Dodger, Bonzo and the Rest was a television drama series which centered around the lives of Michael "Dodger" Dolan and his sister, Carol who were part of a large foster family in London. It was aired in the early evenings on the ITV channel's Children's ITV. There were two series of six episodes between 1985 and 1986 plus a Christmas Special which aired on 22 December 1986. The Christmas Special was the final episode of the series. It starred Lee Ross as Dodger, and Sophy McCallum as his sister Bonzo.

Love and Ambition

Set from postwar of the Korean's war to the present (1980s). The story revolves around two brothers, Tae-jun and Tae-su, from the country of Chuncheon, struggling in poverty and family often verbally argue. After the death of their father, Tae-jun (the eldest son) pursues further on his education and earns a merit to law school, whereas Tae-su (the youngest) hides out escaping the crime he assaulted back at home. However, Tae-jun is romantically in love with his first love, Mi-ja, who becomes a movie star, debating about her career and their pending marriage. Love and Ambition is an intriguing intense tale circling into romance and obsession.
