Celia is a Spanish children's television series created by José Luis Borau in 1992 for the national Spanish public-service channel Televisión Española. It is based on the classic Spanish children's novels of the same name by Elena Fortún, primarily Celia, lo que dice and Celia en el colegio. The books and television series tell the stories of a wild seven-year-old girl named Celia Gálvez de Moltanbán. In addition to focusing on Celia, the show touched lightly on Spanish life in the 1930s, such as the upcoming civil war, a changing nation, and the social issues and ideas at the time. Cristina Cruz Mínguez was cast as the titular character, and the script was adapted by author and screenwriter Carmen Martín Gaite. The creator, Borau, directed and produced the series. Though successful when it originally premiered, Celia was cancelled after six episodes. The sixth and final episode ended with a "to be continued", but the following episode has yet to be released.

Barking! is a British children's TV series that produced two series between 2004 & 2005. The show was originally broadcast on ITV1's children's slot CITV. It stars Katy McGowan as Jezza, a teenage girl with a talking dog named Georgie, voiced by Will Mellor. Other major characters in the show included Jezza's mother, Pippa, her stepbrothers Dan and Ollie, and her stepfather, Greg.

The Joulukalenteri was a 1997 Finnish television miniseries produced by MTV3 that was broadcast again in 1998. It was based on the Danish series The Julekalender from 1991. A Norwegian version was made in 1994. The series came out in December 1997 with one episode per day, concluding on Christmas Eve. The original concept and script of the series, as well as its numerous songs came from the Danish trio of De Nattergale. Jack and Jeremy's Real Lives was a 1996 comedy show for Channel 4, written by and starring Jack Dee and Jeremy Hardy The series was a collection of mockumentaries similar to their previous collaboration, Jack And Jeremy's Police 4. Each episode would focus on the pair playing bizarre characters from a particular profession. Shot on film and featuring no laugh track, the show failed to catch on.
