Music of Time

Young members of a unique musical group from different cities and countries rehearse and write songs online. Their cherished dream is to meet live and perform on the stage of a big rock festival in Moscow. But in order for it to come true, they will have to face the misunderstanding of their parents, the betrayal of loved ones, rethink life values and overcome inner fears. Especially their soloist, Vasilisa, a Moscow schoolgirl, who dreams of a musical career, but since childhood has suffered from a pathological fear of public speaking — peyraphobia.

Yous & Yay in the Wild

Yous and Yay receive guests they admire and explore their inspiration and motivations in personal conversations. Yous and Yay delve deeper into the fascinations of their conversation partners via rabbit holes. These take the viewer to the history of the Wuppies, the French cult film ‘La Haine’, street poetry in Rotterdam, the video clips of Missy Elliott and the cultural heritage of the song ‘You’ll never walk alone’. Each and every one of them is a side path that surprises, amazes, provides context or inspires. Yous and Yay, the two homo universales of the Dutch cultural scene, have been pioneering creators for years within and outside their own range of disciplines (music, literature, film, graphic design). Yous & Yay in the wild abandons the idea of what a cultural programme should be and navigates right through all genres, disciplines and other cultural pigeonholes.

My, občané Protektorátu

Diaries, correspondence and family film recordings reveal a unique view of the life and privacy of the citizens of the so-called Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia… Young documentarian Ondřej Veverka approached dozens of witnesses of the protectorate times and their descendants to share unique film recordings and written testimonies with him from that time. The result is a three-part documentary that provides a unique perspective on the protectorate. At that time, perhaps more than ever, amateur cameras noticed ordinary everyday things, small joys and ordinary life. Perhaps so that one can at least for a moment succumb to the illusion that the world is actually still in order. But soon tragedy entered these shots as well.
