Soccer Aid is a biennial British charity event that has raised £6.5 million in aid of UNICEF UK through ticket sales and donations. The event is a football match between two teams of celebrities and former professional players, representing England and the Rest of the World. Television coverage began on ITV on 22 May 2006 in a show presented by Ant & Dec. Soccer Aid was initiated by Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes. The event returned on 7 September 2008 and again on 6 June 2010. England beat Rest of the World in 2012.

One player must outlast a mob of 100 people in a tense battle of brains and greed for a chance to win a huge cash prize. Bituing Walang Ningning is a Filipino television serial drama. It began airing on ABS-CBN on May 15, 2006, and ended on October 6 that year. For most of its run, the soap opera was the network's highest rating show in primetime. The station referred to the TV series as SineSerye, meaning Movie Serialized TV Series. The series was supposed to end on September 25, 2006 but ended on September 6 due to coverage of the Special concert staged at the Araneta Colesseum and a taped interview for the series on the 19th and also rehearsals tapings and dubbings which were occurring during the run. The finale was in 5 parts for its finale week and also introduced its current Primetime Series and Pilot Maging Sino Ka Man on the 6th with its Pilot moved to a different timeslot and would also be the replacement of the Phenominal Series. On October 8, 2006 a "Himig of Pasasalamat Concert" was staged at the Araneta with all of the characters which was also televised live the series also showed a glimpse of behind the scenes footage and also sung the themes from its successful Album produced by Star Records and Viva Records although it was said that some parts of the series was supposed to also be produced by Viva such as songs sung by Sarah Geronimo herself and the theme of the song originally popularized by Cuneta in the film.

The Great Dunhuang is a Chinese television series based on the history of the oasis city of Dunhuang, which lies on the ancient Silk Road. The Chaser's War on Everything was an Australian television satirical comedy series. It has won an Australian Film Institute Award for Best Television Comedy Series. The series is produced by the Australian satirical group, The Chaser, consisting of Chris Taylor, Julian Morrow, Craig Reucassel, Andrew Hansen, and Chas Licciardello. Rent-a-Goalie is a half-hour comedy television series from Canada that aired on Showcase from 2006 - 2008. Its third season premiered 20 October 2008. The first season was nominated for three Gemini Awards, including Best Comedy Series. It was also nominated for a Directors Guild of Canada Award, the CFTPA Indie Award for Best Comedy Series, an ACTRA Award for Best Male Performance for Christopher Bolton, and four Canadian Comedy Awards, winning two. The series apparently takes place during the present day, but in an episode where they go through a time skip, a calendar says that the year is 2051, hinting that the actual series takes place in 2050.

Tanssii tähtien kanssa is a Finnish version of the British BBC television series Strictly Come Dancing. The show has run on MTV3 since March 3, 2006, on Sunday evenings. The show was originally hosted by Marco Bjurström and Ella Kanninen. Ella Kanninen left the show after the second season and was replaced by model and Season 2 contestant Vanessa Kurri. In 2009, Kurri was replaced by Vappu Pimiä after only one season. Marco Bjurstöm left the series after Season 4 and Mikko Leppilampi took over as host. Ella Kanninen returned to host the seventh season due to Pimiä's maternity leave; Pimiä returned to host the eighth season with Leppilampi. From 2022 Pimiä was joined by Ernest Lawson. The series' title is a pun on the title of the film Dances with Wolves, Tanssii susien kanssa.

Probably because the telenovela is a fusion, there are two sets of protagonists: The actors playing the protagonists of La Verdad Oculta are Galilea Montijo, Gabriel Soto, Alejandra Barros and Eduardo Yáñez, and one of the antagonists is played by Julio Alemán. The telenovela was under the production of Emilio Larrosa. Mexico's Canal de las Estrellas aired the telenovela from February 27, 2006 to August 11, 2006. Univision aired it from August 31, 2010 to March 7, 2011 at 12am central. The story is distinctive in that three artifacts are practically characters in their own right and have their own stories: 1 a piece of paper with writing on it, 2 diamonds, and 3 a pair of cuff links. The story of these artifacts gets quite complicated.
