The Biz was a BBC children's television drama series about a group of teenagers at a fictional stage school. The series was written by Chris Ellis and Sarah-Louise Hawkins. The directors were David Andrews and Nigel Douglas. It ran for three series, from 1994 to 1996. Set at Markov's School of Dance and Drama, it was a portmanteau show in which different students took centre stage from week to week. It showed training, auditions and performances. Paul Nicholls, in one of his early roles, played up-and-coming star Tim Marshall. The role reflected his own later life as Tim had to deal with attention from the press and the public. The series has also been airing on ABC in Australia.

Knight School was a comedy drama series shown on Children's ITV and made by Granada Television. It was written and created by Mark Billingham and Peter Cocks, who also starred in the series. Two series were broadcast, in the autumn of 1997 and 1998.

The Saturday Night Armistice was a British satirical television comedy programme presented by Armando Iannucci with Peter Baynham and David Schneider, which ran from 1995 to 1999. The programme took an irreverent and often surreal look back at topical events, and featured studio discussions, sketches and setups. The Hanging Gale is a four-episode television serial which first aired on RTÉ One and BBC1 in 1995. The series was a British–Irish co-production, made by Little Bird Films for BBC Northern Ireland in association with Raidió Teilifís Éireann, with support from the Irish Film Board. The serial, set in 1846 at the beginning of Ireland's Great Famine, starred the four McGann brothers: Joe McGann, Paul McGann, Mark McGann and Stephen McGann, and was based on an original idea by Joe and Stephen McGann while researching their family's history. The title of the series comes from the term 'hanging gale', the name for a widespread practice in Ireland at the time, where a landlord would allow new tenants a six-month grace period on payment of their rent, with the expectation that the rent owed would be paid when the land's crops were harvested and sold.

Today's the Day was a British television daytime quiz programme that was broadcast on BBC2 from 12 July 1993 until 12 March 1999. The programme was originally hosted by Andrew Rawnsley until he was replaced by Martyn Lewis. A book based on the programme, with the same title, was issued in 1995. The first series was won by Andy Whitworth and Tony Stevens, friends from The Foresters pub in Dartford, Kent. The prize for winning the series was a voucher for an aeroplane ticket around the World.

Encore! Encore! is an American sitcom starring Nathan Lane as an opera singer. On the verge of becoming "The Fourth Tenor", Lane's character injures his vocal cords and must move in with his family, who run a vineyard in Northern California. The series premiered on NBC on September 22, 1998. Encore! Encore! struggled in the ratings from the start. After its fourth episode aired on October 27, 1998, NBC put the series on hiatus for two months. Thirteen episodes were ordered but the series was cancelled at midseason with two episodes left unaired. The final network episode aired on January 20, 1999. All 13 episodes later ran on Bravo.

The Tales of Para Handy is a Scottish television series set in the western isles of Scotland in the 1930s, based on the Para Handy books by Neil Munro. It starred Gregor Fisher as Captain Peter "Para Handy" MacFarlane, Sean Scanlan as first mate Dougie Cameron, Rikki Fulton as engineer Dan Macphail and Andrew Fairlie as Sunny Jim. These four made up the crew of the puffer 'Vital Spark' which was employed by the Campbell Shipping Company, headquartered in Glasgow and run by Andrew Campbell

Tilt is a Finnish video gaming programme aired primarily on MTV3. It started out in 1997 on MTV3 and was also seen on Sub and briefly on Nelonen. Currently the programme is aired on JIM. Tilt.tv was originally hosted by Jaana Pelkonen, who more recently hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki together with Mikko Leppilampi. After Jaana the host was Anna-Maija Jalkanen from 2005 to the spring of 2007 after Jalkanen the host was Kristiina Wheeler from 2007 to 2008. The current host is Anni Uusivirta. The show has had continuing success and has been exported to Poland and other countries. At times the show has gathered mixed feelings amongst gaming fans and there have been grumblings about the program being biased and having hosts that generally have no gaming background. On the other hand the current host Kristiina has been working in game retail, in addition to being a musician. Tilt.tv regardless remains Finland's only steadily running gaming show, especially after the collapse of MoonTV. Tilt.tv has been running continuously for over 10 years, which sets it to compete for the title of the longest running gaming TV show in the world.

Heroes II: the Return is a 1991 Australian mini-series about Operation Rimau during World War II. The true and tragic story of Operation Rimau, one of the most daring raids of WW2. In September 1944 Ivan Lyon and 22 Australian and British troops attempted to blow up Japanese ships in Singapore. Just 10 miles away from the target they are discovered and so begin a long and desperate bid to escape to Australia. The series shows how after the war it is revealled that 13 men were killed during the pursuit and that the remaining 10 were murdered by the Japanese in a war crime. Tragically this was covered up and their killers were never charged while the men themselves never received any honours for their heroism.

City is an American sitcom which aired on CBS from January 29, 1990 until June 8, 1990. The series was a new starring vehicle for Valerie Harper, which went into development not long after she and husband Tony Cacciotti won their lawsuit against Lorimar Telepictures over her dismissal from her NBC sitcom Valerie. City was created by Paul Haggis, and like Ms. Harper's previous series, was also executive produced by Cacciotti.

Just as the newlyweds and Aya were about to start living together, Yoichiro's older sister, Kaoru, returns after her husband cheated on her. Feeling uncomfortable at her parents' house where her younger brother and his wife and their younger sister live, she begins to interfere in all sorts of things, leaving Miki at a loss as to what to do...

D.E.A. is a short-lived television program which was aired by Fox Broadcasting Company as part of its 1990-91 lineup. D.E.A. was based on true stories of the Drug Enforcement Administration. Shot in cinéma vérité style, the program combined recreated scenes using actors with actual surveillance footage and film of actual newscasts covering the stories depicted. Fox apparently had considerable confidence in this concept. When the initial version garnered low ratings and was put on hiatus, before its return the program was retooled into DEA—Special Task Force, which placed more emphasis on the agents' personal lives and showed less graphic violence. The revamped show premiered in April 1991, but also failed to achieve significant ratings and the program was canceled for good in June 1991.
