Faces of America is a four-part Public Broadcasting Service Public television television series hosted by Professor Henry Louis Gates. The series originally aired February 10 – March 3, 2010 from 8–9 p.m. ET. In Australia, this program aired on SBS One each Sunday at 7:30pm from 9 -30 January 2011. It uses genealogical research and genetics to find the family history of 12 Americans: Elizabeth Alexander, Mario Batali, Stephen Colbert, Louise Erdrich, Malcolm Gladwell, Eva Longoria, Yo-Yo Ma, Mike Nichols, Queen Noor of Jordan, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Meryl Streep, and Kristi Yamaguchi. In the series finale, Gates explored the emerging use of full genome sequencing to understand personal ancestry and health, by learning what might be inferred from his whole genome sequence, and that of his father, through in-depth analysis by a personal genomics company and the Broad Institute. In 2012, PBS aired another miniseries entitled Finding Your Roots also examining questions of genealogy and genetics, and hosted by Gates.

Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It is an American reality documentary television series on VH1 that debuted October 18, 2010 and aired weekly episodes at 10:30 p.m. on Mondays. It is the series following Rock of Love and chronicles the lives of Bret Michaels and his family. Filming of the series began before Michaels' health troubles, and filming was suspended after his hospitalization. Production resumed when it was cleared by his doctors. The pilot for the series aired on May 31, 2010, one week after Michaels was announced the winner of Celebrity Apprentice 3 on NBC. A music video was produced for "Riding Against the Wind" a song from Michaels' latest album Custom Built that also doubles as the theme song for Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It. Half Pint Brawlers is a wrestling company and television series. The company is considered the craziest and also the top midget wrestling company in the country. Known for controversy and also for their hardcore wrestling style, they often use staple guns, thumb tacks, broken bottles, and barbed wire in their matches. They got a fraternity kicked off of campus for one of their politically incorrect shows, and have been banned from performing in certain states. The company is made up of Puppet "The Psycho Dwarf" who runs the company. Little Kato "The Dwarf Destroyer" is the veteran of the group and he almost dies in the very first episode. Beautiful Bobby is Kato's long-haired brother known for his high-flying style. Turtle is the rookie of the group and the fellow emcee. Madd Mexx is known as "The Immigration Sensation". Teo is the smallest Extreme Athlete who causes the most problems in the group and stands in at 3 ft 10 in. Spyder Nate Webb is the only tall guy in the group and also acts as an announcer. Spike TV aired the first season of the series following the Half Pint Brawlers in 2010. During the first season of the show, the Brawlers performed shows at a maximum security prison, on Bourbon Street, at a redneck festival, and a show with Luchadores in Mexico. The show was produced by the Lumberjack Crew and Idea Factory production companies.
