Time Team America is an American television series that airs on PBS. It premiered on July 8, 2009. It is an Oregon Public Broadcasting adaptation of the British show Time Team, produced in collaboration with Channel 4 which commissioned the original show, in which a team of archeologists and other experts are given 72 hours to excavate an historic site. The U.S. version features "freelance and university-affiliated experts [who] mostly join existing excavations...[and] arrive with resources that the archaeologists already on the case usually can’t afford and specific questions that, if answered, will advance the understanding of the site." A second season was announced on October 18, 2011, scheduled to shoot during the summer of 2012 and to air in 2013. On December 20, 2011 it was announced that Justine Shapiro would host the second season.

Hilary Duff: This Is Now is a two-part MTV reality television series about singer Hilary Duff, broadcast in April 2007. It followed Duff during a promotional tour for her album Dignity in Spain, and her first performance of her single "With Love" in Europe. It showed Duff participating in photo shoots, her personal affairs, and interview segments. The first episode aired on April 3, and the second on April 9, 2007. The show took two weeks to film, and an MTV crew followed Duff around, filming her preparations for the release of the Dignity album.

Decadence: The Meaninglessness of Modern Life is a six-part television documentary series commissioned by SBS Independent and produced by Fork Films. The series is hosted by Pria Viswalingam, who is best known for his work on the travel show A fork in the road. Decadence was originally broadcast on the Special Broadcasting Service of Australia in 2006 in the form of six, thirty-minute-long episodes. It was rescreened again in 2007 as part of the SBS season on globalisation. The series examines the decadence and meaninglessness of modern, western life. It is also poses the question: If we live in such a great and prosperous world, and we are living longer, better, and healthier than before, why are we so unhappy?. There are interviews with many prominent experts and leaders in their fields throughout the series.

Help is a six-part Australian documentary series is broadcast on SBS One that takes you inside the real-life events that Ambulance officers and paramedics face every day while on the job. Since 2010, the program is currently airing on Wednesday afternoons at 3pm.

Made in Scotland was a 3-part documentary series produced by STV Productions and broadcast on STV in Northern and Central Scotland in 2009, presented by Taggart actor John Michie. The show has since been broadcast across the UK on digital channel Blighty. Michie, as well as a number of well known faces from Scotland, focus on an iconic symbol that makes Scotland so unique and recognisable internationally. Exploring the country, its people and its culture, this series has seen celebrities examining Scottish icons that many Scots take for granted, while revealing little known history and also challenging popular assumptions. The programme was made by STV, in association with the Daily Record and Sunday Mail, to celebrate Homecoming Scotland 2009. 10-minute clips of the programme are used as fillers on STV.

Kenny's World is an Australian television mockumentary on Network Ten that is a spin-off from the 2006 mockumentary film Kenny. The series stars Shane Jacobson, reprising his role of Kenny Smyth, Australia's favourite portaloo plumber who scours the globe for bizarre, intriguing and often downright ridiculous examples of toilet technology. The show was canned after one season due to poor ratings and reception. Places Kenny travels to during the course of the series include the world's fastest Porta-loo in Indianapolis, Egypt's City of the Dead, and The World Toilet Summit and the Expo in India.

Nerd Nation is an American TV show on TechTV that focused on the life of nerds and other geeks. The series lasted 10 episodes. Re-runs also ran on G4 in late 2005. The theme song, I'm a Nerd performed by Johnny Sizzle.

Facing The Truth was a British television programme. Partly based on South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the three part series was presented by Fergal Keane and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. In the programme victims and perpetrators of Northern Ireland's Troubles meet for the first time. Dumped is a British reality television programme which started on 2 September 2007 and aired nightly until 5 September 2007 on Channel 4. It involved 11 contestants living for three weeks on a rubbish dump next to a landfill site near Croydon, Surrey. The contestants who "survived" the 21 days and used only what they found on the dump were awarded £20,000 to share equally between them. The working title of the programme was Eco-Challenge. One contestant, Darren Lumsden, voluntarily left the programme on Day 3. The series was promoted with a large publicity campaign, which included advertisements on websites and a concert by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The programme achieved a peak of 2.4 million viewers, although this was marginally less than the number of people watching other channels at the same time. The programme was criticised because it was filmed on an artificial landfill and for its choice of "fame hungry" contestants.

French Food at Home is a James Beard Foundation Award-winning cooking show presented by Laura Calder. It is filmed in Halifax, Nova Scotia and airs on Food Network Canada, the Asian Food Channel, and the Cooking Channel. French Food at Home is a lifestyle series featuring simple French home cooking which anyone, anywhere, can make. All 78 episodes were shot in a home kitchen in Canada and include scenes of France such as trips to the market and glimpses of everyday French food life. Music for the show was composed by Mike O'Neill.
