It was canceled after six regular episodes and 1 half-hour pilot, which aired as a special on December 7, 1984. Off the Rack premiered as a regular series in the middle of the 1984-1985 television season as a mid-season replacement on ABC on the same day as Mr. Belvedere. Writer Lissa Levin and director Noam Pitlik would go on to work for that series, following Off the Rack's cancellation.

The series was a direct adaptation of the smash hit 1983 movie The Big Chill, and centered around the same premise as the film: a group of friends all in their 30s, who had reunited after traveling separate paths following their college days in the 1960s. Upon their reunion, they found that they were even more so an integral part of each other's lives in the 1980s. Michael Nesmith in Television Parts is a summer TV series run by NBC in 1985. It was a 30-minute comedy-variety series created by Michael Nesmith as a continuation of his Grammy Award-winning video production Elephant Parts, and earlier series PopClips. The first episode was a stand-alone television special which aired on March 7, 1985. The following series premiered on June 14, 1985. The show was a mix of music videos mixed in with comedy sketches, commercial parodies, and general silliness. It was hosted by Nesmith himself, who also participated in many of the sketches. Television Parts also featured guest appearances by a number of comedians, including Martin Mull, Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Martin, The Funny Boys and Garry Shandling, whose appearance on the show was the seed for It's Garry Shandling's Show. One of the show's featured pieces, "Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey" was later picked up by Saturday Night Live. The show was cancelled after one short summer season that same year. It would return in 1985 as two separate home video releases on VHS and Betamax, Television Parts Home Companion and Dr. Duck's Super Secret All-Purpose Sauce. The first was a 40-minute compilation of original show featuring the comedy skits and music by Michael Nesmith only. Dr. Duck's Super Secret All-Purpose Sauce was a 90-minute montage of sketch comedy with a variety of stars and music videos. The stars included Bobcat Goldthwait, Ed Begley, Jr., Jimmy Buffett, Rosanne Cash, Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld and Garry Shandling.

The Charron Junkyard was a TV show that aired on MaxTaxTV from 1985 - 2000. It was owned by MaxTaxTV until later seasons until the end (6 - 8). Daft owned many other TV shows that were too graphic and horrible so they got banned, we would tell you the shows but we would get sued if we did. From seasons 6 - 8 (When Daft bought the show) is when the show started getting bad, the reason it got bad is because that was when they started torturing the main character Lennox Charron (Or what the public calls: "The torture era"). An example from the show is a scene where the script was that Lennox's parents went into his room and said "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO CLEAN THIS ROOM! CLEAN THIS ROOM, NOW!" and they proceeded to destroy his room 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 after. The show ended in the year 2000 in the middle of the crew making the script for each episode of season 9 that never released because the company Daft got sued and filed for bankruptcy, after half of season 9's script was made.
