Hum Paanch is the story of a middle-class white-collar worker, Anand Mathur, who always finds himself in trouble because of his five daughters — Meenakshi, Radhika, Sweety, Kajal, and Chhoti. The three elder daughters are Anand and his first wife's children. The last two are Anand and Bina's daughters. To make matters worse, his first wife is deceased but "haunts" him by speaking to him through her large wall-mounted portrait—usually to nag him or offer sarcastic advice. Living in a chaotic household with his second wife, Bina, Anand tries to maintain order while his daughters hatch various schemes, leading to hilarious misunderstandings and situational comedy.

Shrimaan Shrimati is a sitcom that first aired on Doordarshan in 1994. It starred Jatin Kanakia, Rakesh Bedi, Reema Lagoo and Archana Puran Singh in the lead roles. The story involves two neighbours Keshav and Dilruba who covet each other's wives more than their own. Hilarity ensues when they try their level best to flirt with and get closer to each other's wives.

Ghar Jamai revolves around a North Indian father-in-law (Satish Shah) and his South Indian son-in-law (R Madhavan). Their continuous bickering and trying to take each other down is the premise of the show. A Punjabi father-in-law, Mr Mehra, who never left a chance to trouble his Malayali live-in son-in-law, Subramaniam Namboodiripad AKA Subbu. While the father-in-law and the son-in-law loved to hate each other, Chandni (Mandira Bedi) used to get caught in the crossfire. In the show Satish Shah's Mr Mehra and Madhavan's Subbu are like Tom and Jerry, always trying to get the best of each other. Ghar Jamai came to an end when Madhavan decided to quit the show after Mani Ratnam offered him Alaipayuthey. He gained instant recognition with the Tamil film and went on to deliver many hits down South.

Meera (Kavita Kapoor) and Mohan Srivastava (Rakesh Bedi) are married and working in the same office. They have not disclosedtheir relationship to their boss Vinod Verma (Aashif Sheikh), who does not miss any chance of flirting with Meera. Mohan hates it and spends most of his time protecting his wife from Mr. Verma.

Dekh Bhai Dekh was one of the most popular comedy Hindi sitcom created, developed, edited, directed and line produced by Aanand Mahendroo, produced by Jaya Bachchan, starring, Shekhar Suman, Navin Nischol, Farida Jalal, Bhavana Balsavar, Deven Bhojani, Sushma Seth, Vishal Singh, Nattasha Singh lead roles. It premiered on Doordarshan's metro channel, on 6 May 1993 until 1997. Subsequently, there have been several re-runs on DD National, Sony TV, and SAB TV till 2005. It is considered as a classic, among Indian television shows.The story revolves around three generations of the Diwan family, who live as an extended family in an ancestral bungalow in the suburbs of Mumbai. The serial takes the viewer through their various ups and downs. Their never-say-die attitude helps them overcome sibling rivalry, relationship troubles, business problems, irksome parents and in-laws. A distinctive feature of this show were its fast speaking characters.
