Unlike America's Funniest Home Videos, this one uses a narrator throughout the show, however it is the first truTV show to have laughing audience members in the background, although some footage in the show has real laughter. This show, along with AFV, sometimes uses sound effects for fun. Season 2 debuted on April 15, 2010. Season 3 started on October 11, 2010.

Surviving Suburbia is an American sitcom starring Bob Saget and Cynthia Stevenson that aired on American Broadcasting Company from April 6 to August 7, 2009. The series originally aired at 9:30 PM Eastern/8:30 PM Central following Dancing with the Stars, before moving to Fridays at 8:30 PM Eastern/7:30 PM Central for its remaining episodes. It was the first program starring Saget to air on ABC since he left America's Funniest Home Videos in 1997. On August 8, 2009, ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson announced that Surviving Suburbia, along with The Goode Family, had officially been cancelled due to low ratings.

Hotbox was a Canadian absurdist sketch comedy television show on The Comedy Network. It starred Pat Thornton, and was a spinoff of the online sitcom The Owl and the Man. Some notable guest appearances on the show included comics Jon Dore, Colin Mochrie and Seán Cullen. The title "Hot Box" relates to the show's frame story, which starts in each episode's opening sequence, which depicts a box which falls from space, and is discovered by scientists. Throughout the episode, the scientists then perform disastrous experiments involving the box, which contains screens displaying the show's sketches.

I Get That A Lot is a reality television special originally created by Danny Harris occasionally airing on CBS, which sets up celebrities in everyday working class jobs. Hidden cameras are used to capture the reactions of unsuspecting customers and bypassers. When the celebrities are recognized, they deny their real identities and say "I get that a lot," until the end of the segment, at which time the cameras are revealed and they come forward about their identities. The first two episodes also aired internationally in Australia on Channel Ten. There is also a French version based on the format, named Sosie! Or Not Sosie?, produced by Carson Prod and aired on French TV leader TF1.

The show was nominated for a National Television Awards in the category of Comedy in 2011, however it failed to make the top 4.

Fangavaktin is the sequel to the Icelandic television series Dagvaktin and the final series in the trilogy. The three main characters from Næturvaktin, Georg Bjarnfreðarson, Ólafur Ragnar and Daníel, have become imprisoned in the infamous Litla-Hraun prison following the murder of the hotel owner in Dagvaktin. The story is continued, and brought to a conclusion, in the feature film Bjarnfreðarson. The first episode was broadcast on Stöð 2 on Sunday, 27 September 2009, and an episode was broadcast each following Sunday until the final seventh episode aired on 8 November 2009. The series has been released on DVD.

Sitcom set on a precarious caravan campsite which strives to represent the best of the great British holiday - less palm trees and pina coladas and more puggymachines and lukewarm pints. How's Your News? is an American television series and also a feature film. It aired Sundays on MTV in the United States, and the feature film based on the same concept was released in 2003. It stars a group of reporters with developmental disabilities who interview celebrities and politicians. It is the continuation of a documentary film project started in 1999 by Arthur Bradford at Camp Jabberwocky in Martha's Vineyard, which was made into a movie of the same name and shown on HBO in 2003. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone serve as the show's executive producers. Season One had a total of 6 episodes. According to the "How's Your News?" website on April 9, 2009, the show has not been renewed for a second season on MTV, stating: "The decision had little to do with the quality of the series, which was one of the most enthusiastically received and best reviewed programs on mtv this year. It’s just a tough financial time and mtv needed to keep pushing for higher ratings with other shows. Also, we always knew that our series was an unusual fit for their style of programming. We’re not “The Hills” or “America’s Next Best Dance Crew” after all…" After completing the feature film for HBO, the concept was pitched to the Trio network, who subsequently backed the short film "On the Campaign Trail", about the How's Your News? teams trip to both the Democratic and Republican conventions in 2004. The half hour film was broadcast on Trio and Channel Four England and featured candid interviews with Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Andre 3000, Ben Affleck, Howard Dean, Michael Moore and Newt Gingrich, amongst others. Although it was rarely seen, this half hour documentary was well reviewed and helped convince MTV of the viability of the concept as mainstream TV series. They funded a pilot in 2006.

Mouth to Mouth is a 2009 comedy-drama television series written by Karl Minns and broadcast on BBC Three. A successful pilot episode of the programme had been broadcast in 2008, starring the same female cast as the full series but no males and with a significantly different story. Each of the six episodes follow a monologue structure where each of the main characters describe their life around the same date. As the series progresses the viewer discovers how each of the lives are interwoven. On the surface the script has some fine humorous moments but underlying it deals with some serious issues.

Mister Eleven is an ITV romantic drama starring Michelle Ryan and Sean Maguire. The two-part series was broadcast on 11 and 18 December 2009. It also stars Adam Garcia, Lynda Bellingham, Olivia Colman and Denis Lawson. It is written by Shameless writer Amanda Coe. Mister Eleven was released on DVD in February 2010.

Breaking Bad: Original Minisodes is a web series based on the television series Breaking Bad. A total of 17 "minisodes", which are more comedy-oriented than most full episodes, were released over the course of three years.

Dogg After Dark is an American variety show starring rapper Snoop Dogg on MTV. The series debuted on February 17, 2009 and features celebrity interviews, sketch-comedy segments and musical performances by Snoop's own in-house band, the "Snoopadelics." Dogg After Dark takes place on location at Kress, a Los Angeles club on Hollywood Boulevard.

Giggle and Hoot is a TV "wrapper" programme for the Australian children's channel ABC2. It also aired on ABC1 in 2010-2011, but was later discontinued on that channel. It began in 2010. The show depicts of the adventures of Jimmy Giggle, and his best friend Hoot the owl.

The Jeff Dunham Show is a sketch comedy television series starring comedian Jeff Dunham, that aired on the American cable television network Comedy Central. It premiered on October 22, 2009, and featured Dunham interacting with the characters that he uses in his ventriloquism act, such as Walter, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Peanut, Bubba J, José Jalapeño on a Stick, and Sweet Daddy Dee. The series' final episode aired on December 10, 2009. On December 29, 2009, it was announced that The Jeff Dunham Show would not return for a second season, despite having higher average ratings than other Comedy Central shows; Nellie Andreeva of The Live Feed cited its higher production cost as a factor. The entire series run is included on The Jeff Dunham Show DVD, which was released on May 18, 2010.

:30 Seconds is an Australian comedy series produced for The Comedy Channel which satirises Australian advertising companies and advertising industry. The name of the show comes from the advertising slots on television that are normally 30 seconds long. The show has had many guest appearances from famous Australians such as Claudia Karvan, Peter Heliar, Bridie Carter, Matthew Newton and Guy Pearce.

The series revolves around two colleagues at law school who get married after a love story and own a law firm. The competition between them, turns into a family war and when they try to repair their relationship, they are chased by everyone.

The plot follows a trio born on a plane to a pilot mother. Throughout their lives they wander the world between countries. In each episode they arrive in a different country and stay at the local hotel. Although they always promise their mother that they will travel the world, they stay in the hotel room and watch TV. The exception is the last episode (which takes place in Australia), where they go on a trip. The series is accompanied by animated clips explaining the country the brothers arrived in accompanied by narration by the actor Alon Abutbul.
