Lowdown

Lowdown shines a torch on the life of a man whose job it is to feed the public's insatiable appetite for celebrity gossip. Alex Burchill, the author of the Lowdown column which appears in the once great but now ailing tabloid newspaper – the Sunday Sun. Each week Alex interviews celebrities for his column, and each week at least one of those celebrities ruins his week. Sometimes the celebrity gets drunk and punches Alex out. Sometimes the celebrity gets him arrested. Usually the celebrity sleeps with his girlfriend, Rita. It may not sound like much of a life, but it invariably leads to great copy and the readers love it. In fact, it's the only thing standing between the Sunday Sun and oblivion.

Summer in Transylvania

Summer in Transylvania is a live action children's television programme which aired on Nickelodeon. The programme, originally called Freaky Farleys, was renamed Summer in Transylvania and was filmed in Hendon, London. It is Nickelodeon UK's first original TV series since Genie in the House. Re-runs will be shown on Nickelodeon on 25 June 2012, with new episodes starting on 9 July 2012. It was announced on 23 June 2012 that there will not be a second season of this show.

Bitter Coffee

The series begins with history teacher Nima Zande-Karimi (Siamak Ansari) realizing that his extensive research on Persian and world history is of little use to financing his day-to-day life. He is about to leave Tehran for good to go back to his hometown by the name of Darab, when he comes across young university student Roya Atabaki (Sahar Jafari-Jozani) who is researching for her final year dissertation, which is regarding the period 1198–1203, that is said to be a period of turmoil for Iran's ruling elite. Such turmoil that, very few books are available on that period for Roya's research. It is then that Nima receives an anonymous telephone call, which leads him to Niavaran Palace (currently a museum), where he is told to have a coffee and wait. The coffee (which is bitter) is ready and he duly drinks it, his sight becomes hazy, and when he manages to refocus he is in the year 1201 (1822 AD), and the story develops therein.

Fuhrmann's colleague Dr. Wehninger has abducted her deceased father from the pathology department to her home in order to prevent an autopsy, and it is only with great difficulty that Fuhrmann manages to persuade her to turn back. But it's not that easy to get to the hospital with a dead body without being recognized. Fuhrmann himself remains stubbornly confrontational, especially when it comes to Dr. Böck, and even more so since it turns out that Böck and Fuhrmann's ex-wife are expecting a child together. Assistant Dr. Winkler encounters unexpected difficulties when he discovers that the prosector's assistant and the mortician are engaged in a lively trade in corneas from deceased patients. They are not about to let this business go to waste without a fight.

This Is Jinsy

This Is Jinsy is a British comedy series. The pilot first aired on 1 March 2010 on BBC Three. The programme is about the bizarre residents of the fictional island of Jinsy and based on the island of Guernsey, where the two writers are from. The show was written by Chris Bran and Justin Chubb who also play the leading roles. Although the pilot episode was made for the BBC, the full series of eight episodes was picked up by Sky Atlantic. The first series began airing with a double bill on 19 September 2011 and ended on 31 October 2011. A second series was screened in January 2014.

Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat

Dolly ki Ayegi Baraat is a Pakistani comedy-drama and the sequel of hit drama Azar Ki Ayegi Baraat. It is based on Evernew's popular storyline of Kis Ki Ayegi Baraat. The show includes most of the characters from Azar Ki Ayegi Baraat, and focuses on the story of Azar's cousin Dolly and Sila's friend Nabeel. Unlike the first serial in the series, which was written by Mohammad Ahmed, Dolly ki Ayegi Baraat was written by Bushra Ansari and Vasay Chaudry. Also, the character of Sila, previously played by Sarwat Gilani, was played by Ayesha Omar. The serial premiered on GEO TV in August 2010 & consisted on 17 episodes ending in November 2010.

Stand Up for the Week

Stand Up for the Week is a British television comedy series shown on Channel 4, featuring stand-up comedy performances reflecting topical events. The show began in June 2010 with a six-episode series aired on Friday nights, moving to Saturday nights for the second series which began in March 2011. The first series was hosted by Patrick Kielty, with regular performers Jack Whitehall, Kevin Bridges, Andi Osho and Rich Hall. Bridges replaced Kielty as host for the second series, with Jon Richardson joining as a regular performer. Richardson took over as host of the show for the third series which aired in late 2011, and aside from Rich Hall returning, an otherwise entirely new group of regular performers joined the show: Seann Walsh, Sara Pascoe, Josh Widdicombe and Paul Chowdhry. For the fourth series Andrew Lawrence replaced Rich Hall. For the fifth series, Chowdhry will take over as host but it is unknown who will replace him or if any other regulars have been replaced.
