Meet the Magoons is a six-part comedy television series in the United Kingdom aired on Channel 4 in 2005, directed by and starring Hardeep Singh Kohli. The main characters are a Punjabi family who live in Glasgow, and own an Indian restaurant called "The Spice". It received mixed reviews. A. A. Gill hoped it "might well evolve into something classic" and Nancy Banks-Smith of The Guardian called it "modern to the point of surreal". A second series was not commissioned.

Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby is a satirical New Zealand television series, created and written by Danny Mulheron, Dave Armstrong and Tom Scott. It stars David McPhail as the titular Mr Gormsby, whose politically incorrect attitudes and "old school" teaching style clash and contrast with the environment at the fictional Tepapawai High School. The show pokes fun at the New Zealand education system but also at modern New Zealand social attitudes more generally. Two seasons have so far been made; the first was broadcast in 2005 on TV ONE in New Zealand and the ABC TV in Australia. The second series was shown in New Zealand in 2006 and in Australia, on ABC2, April 2008. DVDs of the series are sold in Australia through the ABC Shop. The program was filmed at two disused schools in the suburbs of Lower Hutt: the first season at Wainuiomata College and the second at Petone College.

Graham Norton's Bigger Picture is a British comedy panel chat show launched on BBC One in 2005, in which presenter Graham Norton informally and satirically discusses the week's news with a panel of invited celebrity guests. The show begins with the celebrities being shown in mocked-up photographs of themselves in scenes involving other celebrities, and ends with the guests introducing other mocked up photographs that humorously explain the recent behaviour of other celebrities.

¿Quién es el Jefe? is an Argentine sitcom, the remake of the popular American sitcom Who's the Boss?. It premiered on April 18, 2005 at Telefe network, and had great success.

Wisecrack is a 2005 stand-up comedy series from the LGBT television network Logo. The show was taped at the West Hollywood, California gay club The Abbey. The six-episode series features performances by openly gay and lesbian comedians Page Hurwitz, Alec Mapa, Judy Gold, Miss Coco Peru, Vickie Shaw and Doug Holsclaw. Wisecrack is available for download at the iTunes Store. In 2007, Logo debuted Outlaugh Festival on Wisecrack, featuring a new series of performances by a variety of LGBT comedians hosted by Margaret Cho. A podcast for this series is also available through the iTunes Store.

Amigo is a game show for kids in Norway. The host is Stian Barsnes Simonsen, who is also the host for Melodi Grand Prix Junior with Nadia Hasouni. Amigo has an individual named The Soundeffect-man. The format consists of three teams, with two children each. The children make their own version of the Amigo theme song, which they then sing. The show is recorded in the NRK studio in Oslo, Norway.

Han Jae Min, a budding photographer, is in love with Seo Hee Won. As an ELLE reporter she spends most of her time at Lee Seo Jun's photography studio Conan. Jae Min starts dating the perpetual exam taker Kim Geun Young, whose brother works at Conan, to get a job there. Naive girl that she is, Geun Young falls right into his plot. Jae Min's schemes are successful and then he tries to break things off with Geun Young, the girlfriend he never wanted. Geun Young however wants revenge for being used and isn't ready to let him go. She makes him sign a break-up contract. He must stay and help her get over him until she's ready to let him go. As Geun Young lets him go little by little Jae Min falls for her little by little. Unfortunately for Jae Min, Lee Seo Jun also falls for Geun Young and isn't afraid to show it.

The Hollow Men are an English sketch comedy group consisting of David Armand, Nick Tanner, Rupert Russell, and Sam Spedding. The Hollow Men is also the title of their TV show broadcast in the United States by Comedy Central. The show follows the kind of silliness from sketch comedy shows like Monty Python's Flying Circus and The Kids in the Hall. The first and only season, consisting of six episodes, aired in early 2005. The group's name comes from a grim T.S. Eliot poem. In 2006 they broadcast a BBC Radio 4 sketch show, also of the same name. The radio show was recommissioned and a second series was aired in September 2007. Both series also featured Katy Brand.

Blessed is a BBC television sitcom written by Ben Elton and starring Ardal O'Hanlon as Gary, a record producer, who is struggling to bring up two small children. The series was broadcast on BBC One on Friday evenings at 9.00pm between October and December 2005. It featured the lullaby Morningtown Ride as its theme, sung by the cast band. No second series was commissioned.

Daisy Does America is a hybrid reality/comedy series that premiered on TBS on 6 December 2005. The show, similar to British actress and comedian Daisy Donovan's previous outing for British television Daisy, Daisy, was adapted for US audiences by actors Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette for their Coquette Productions and distributed by Warner Brothers Television. In this unscripted program, Donovan attempts to follow the "American Dream" by blending in with ordinary people while at the same time poking fun at the individuals she is working with. VideoGaiden is a Scottish computer games television show that was broadcast by BBC Two Scotland. Its creators and presenters, Robert Florence and Ryan Macleod, were responsible for the internet-distributed videogaming show Consolevania, upon which the show is based. The show has now been axed. The show began as six ten minute episodes on BBC Two Scotland, broadcast at around midnight on Fridays starting in December 2005. The episodes were also able to be viewed online from the BBC's web site. A second series, consisting of six half-hour episodes, was commissioned by popular demand and began broadcast on Sunday 5 November 2006 at 11:10pm, with episodes once again available on the BBC's website. A third series consisting of eighteen weekly 11-minute online episodes began in December 2007, with three half-hour TV specials episodes also being produced. A Christmas special aired on 23 December 2007. Gaiden is a Japanese word meaning 'side-story'; its use in the show's title is most likely a reference to Ninja Gaiden, a cult classic videogame known for its unforgiving difficulty level.

The Search for the Funniest Mom in America, or simply Funniest Mom, is a six-part reality series that features a competition between ten female comedians who compete for $50,000, the opportunity to develop her own show for Nick at Nite and host a special night of programming on the network. As of season three however the winner is no longer given the opportunity to develop their own show, and no television series starring any of the winners has made it to air. The first season ran during spring 2005, with stand-up comedian and actress Sandra Bernhard serving as the host. The first season aired in five episodes, with Darlene Westgor being the winner. The second season aired during spring 2006, with actress Katey Sagal replacing Bernhard as the host. The second season, which aired in six episodes, announced Rubi Nicholas, a Muslim mother with two children, as the funniest mom in America. A third season, simply called "Funniest Mom in America 3" began airing on April 3, 2007. Like season two, season three has six parts. It was announced on January 11, 2007, that Roseanne Barr would serve as the host for season three. Season 3 ended on Mothers Day 2007.

A small European island country is under constant threat of invasion from its neighboring countries using giant robots. They are ruled by three princesses, Krone, the eldest, has a team of guys who are happy to fight for her, but they do not. Nene, the youngest daughter, wears a special outfit that allows her to fight. Kana, the middle child, has designed a secret weapon in the fight: Junerin, a 60 meter tall robot that resembles a petite French doll. Kana didn't want her to fight but Junerin must do so to save her country.

L'Gros Show is a Canadian situation comedy/mockumentary television series which is broadcast on the Canadian French language music television station Musique Plus. The show stars Mike Ward as Chabot, a comedy character he had previously developed in 2000, and Martin Perizzolo as his friend Poudy. Chabot and Poudy are very much stuck in the 1980s, an obsession which is evidenced by their hairstyles and clothes. Both live in Poudy's mother's basement, where they spend their time playing air guitar and drinking. Part of the show is shot in black-and-white in a mock documentary style.

Sanya was an Indian TV situation comedy available in Hindi. It is a show for the channel Hungama TV which was bought by the Walt Disney Company. The show originally ran from 2005 - 2006. Sanya, however was actually put into the spotlight when it was shown on Hungama TV's sister channel Disney Channel IndiaSanya premiered on Disney Channel India on April 21, 2008 at 7.30pm IST.Sanya was shown daily at 7.30pm when a new episode was broadcast and was repeated at 10.30am and 3pm. The Invisible Man is an animated series from MoonScoop Group, in co-production with bRb, Screen 21, RAI Fiction, SMEC and with the participation of M6, Disney Television France, Antena 3 and Eurocartoons. 29 Minutes of Fame is a British satirical celebrity quiz series which aired on BBC One on Fridays in early 2005. The show was presented by comedian Bob Mortimer. The show's two team captains were Jo Brand and Alistair McGowan, they were also joined by a regular panelist Sean Lock.
