Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos is a controversial Australian television comedy program which was broadcast on Nine Network on 4 September 1992. It was a one-off special spin-off of Australia's Funniest Home Video Show, depicting videos of sexual situations and other sexually explicit content. The program gained notoriety for, as with the 1969 American TV show Turn-On, being taken off the air part-way through the broadcast of its first and only episode.

Marx and Venus is an Australian television comedy series broadcast on SBS TV. Set in Perth, Western Australia, the program is about two flat mates; John Marx, played by Bryce Youngman and Venus Hoy, played by Rhoda Lopez. Originally Emma Lung was to play Venus Hoy, but she pulled out of the project before filming. The program premiered on 6 August 2007. Episodes of the show are only five minutes long, and it is generally shown around 8:30pm each Monday night. The theme music for the opening titles is "Come on Come on" by Little Birdy.

Aunty Jack's Wollongong the Brave is a collection of four comedy specials derived from the Australian television series, The Aunty Jack Show. The fourth and final episode was the precursor to The Norman Gunston Show. The episodes were filmed in 1974 and were aired during 1975. The mini-series was released to DVD by the ABC in March 2007.

Corridors of Power is an Australian television mockumentary series that first screened on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 2001. The series features the private and public lives of two ambitious federal parliamentary backbenchers Fielding and Dunne who are contesting the same seat in a federal election.

Denton was an hour-long late night live interview program hosted by the eponymous Andrew Denton. It aired on the Seven Network in Australia between 1994 and 1995. Regular guests included Amanda Keller and Bobcat Goldthwaite. Andrew won the 'Most Popular Comedy Personality' Logie Award in 1996, for his role in Denton.

The Tea Ladies was an Australian situation comedy series produced for Network Ten in 1978. The series was produced by the same company that at the time was producing Australian versions of UK comedy shows Father, Dear Father and Doctor in the House. The producer of these programs, William G. Stewart, had earlier produced a pilot episode for a UK situation comedy series based on a group of tea ladies and resurrected the concept as The Tea Ladies in Australia. The Tea Ladies was set in Parliament House and followed the exploits of four tea ladies at work. The regular cast included Pat McDonald and Sue Jones. The series was produced at ATV-0 in Melbourne. It began on air 14 September 1978 with each episode being broadcast in an 8.30 p.m. slot almost immediately after studio shooting was complete. The series had a run of just eight 30-minute episodes.

Australia Versus was an Australian show hosted by Tim Ross that initially aired on 6 July 2010. The format mixes archival footage of the listed events with comments from various Australian and international comedians, in a similar style to television series 20 to 1. The show is produced by FremantleMedia Australia.

Tonight Live with Steve Vizard was a nightly Australian comedy chat show broadcast on Seven Network in Australia. It was a one hour live studio based show broadcast nationally 5 nights a week from February 1990 to November 1993, usually commencing at 10.30 pm every week night. Presented by Australian lawyer,comedian and writer Steve Vizard, the show's format was an eclectic mix of a traditional Tonight Show, such as the Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson or Jay Leno, In Melbourne Tonight with Graham Kennedy with more off beat, often deconstructionist elements, such as broadcasting a rehearsal of the show, a rained out show, a parallel Tonight show, using the floor manager and cameramen as on air talent, using the studio audience to replace high profile guests and the like. The show won the late night ratings around Australia and won several awards including Variety Club Awards, Television Society Awards and Logie Awards, including in 1991 a Gold Logie for Steve Vizard as Most Popular Person on Australian Television and nominations on three other occasions.

The Eric Bana Show Live was an Australian television comedy and talk show hosted by and named after Eric Bana. The show began as four hour-long specials in 1996 called 'Eric'. In 1997, the show settled into a weekly half-hour slot and renamed 'The Eric Bana Show Live'. It featured celebrity guests, music, comedy sketches and comedy monolgues. Steven Blackburn was the band leader. He was also rumored to have a lustful and explicit relationship with Melissa Gilligan who which he interviewed on the first showing of " The Eric Bana show", he later denied allegations of a relationship between the pair, but in an interview with the times; Melissa revealed that they had a 4 year relationship and separated on mutual terms. Eric began his career as a comedian in the sketch comedy series Full Frontal and brought many of his characters over to this show.

Club Buggery is the title of an Australian television series of the 1990s. It was created and performed by Australian comedy duo Roy and HG and broadcast on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation network in 1996 and 1997.

The Russell Gilbert Show is a short-lived Australian comedy show hosted by Russell Gilbert in 1998. It was partially a spin-off from Hey Hey It's Saturday, where Gilbert had risen to prominence. The show's writers included Kevin Blond, Paul Calleja and Andrew Maj. Seven episodes were filmed and aired. In 2000, a similar concept was attempted: Russell Gilbert Live, which was followed in 2001 by Russell Gilbert Was Here!. Both new shows were relatively short-lived.

My Fair Lady was an Australian television series which aired from 1958 to 1962 on Wednesdays on Melbourne station HSV-7. Little information is available on this series. It was originally part of a line-up titled Home, which featuring various segments including Cooking, Home Decorator and Shopping Guide. Later, it appears the Home branding was dropped. For part of its run it aired at 2:30PM. At one point in 1959 it was the first show on the station schedule for the day, while at another point in 1959 it was preceded by US anthology series episodes of shows like Four Star Playhouse. The show is described as being aired live, compered by June Finlayson and featured Charles Bush, and featuring contestants, suggesting it was a game show. Other hosts during the run of the series included Vikki Hammond. Archival status is unknown, but as Australian game shows were rarely kept during the era the show aired in, it is likely the series is either lost or largely missing.

Greeks on the Roof was an Australian television talk show that ran for 11 episodes on the Seven Network in 2003. It was hosted by Greek-Australian character Effie and her "family". Based on the format of the British The Kumars at No. 42, each show had interviews with a number of Australian actors and actresses. Guests were involved in Effie's jokes and antics whilst being asked about their career and personal life. Making a guest appearance on the show was Sam Newman, who is a personality on rival network Channel Nine. Also Molly Meldrum, before signing the contract with Seven. Dr. Harry Cooper was also a guest on the show and in promos was told he would reveal his full self by taking off his hat, but in the show he never did. American talk show host Jerry Springer also made a notable guest appearance. Kris Noble was the executive producer of the show. The cast included Angus Sampson as Effie's cousin Dimi.

Australia You're Standing In It was an Australian sketch comedy series produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, first screened in 1983 with a second series made in 1984. In honour of the 30th Anniversary of the show, On March 13, 2013 the complete series was released on DVD

The B Team was an Australian comedy television show, which screened on Network Ten. The show starred comedians Merrick and Rosso and featured skits, pranks and some audience participation. The show's first episode aired on Wednesday the 6th of October 2005, but was soon cancelled due to poor ratings. Characters included bogans Brett & Craig, Dimitri the dodgy mobile phone dealer, DJ Panfa and Rosso Crowe.

Rita and Wally was an Australian situation comedy series produced by ATN-7 in 1968. The series was a spin-off from My Name's McGooley, What's Yours? When the title character Dominic McGooley left that series it effectively continued as a new series under this title. The other regular cast members - John Meillon and Judi Farr as the title characters along with Noeline Brown - continued in the new series as their old characters. McGooley regular Stewart Ginn also continued in this series. Without the heavy makeup that previously transformed his appearance, he played a new character here. With the spin-off the main character Wally finally received a promotion to a white-collar job and the characters moved from their previous working-class area to more salubrious surrounds. Unfortunately once the show began it became apparent that the working class setting and conflicts, along with the character of McGooley, were crucial to the comedy of the situation and Rita and Wally ended after only a few months. Rita and Wally had a run of 23 half-hour episodes.

Santo, Sam and Ed's Cup Fever! was an association football themed comedy television show in Australia on SBS. The nightly panel-style show was produced by Working Dog Productions and aired for the duration of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The show was hosted by Santo Cilauro, Sam Pang and Ed Kavalee, with Rob Sitch making several guest appearances. Segments included Cup Update, an interview with a special guest and various comedy sketches. Socceroos midfielder Mark Bresciano featured in his own diary segment. He also announced that he had signed for Serie A club Lazio during an interview on the show. Other regular segments included ‘Take on my Nuts’, ‘Not Even Close’ and ‘The Rivaldo Award’ which poked fun at World Cup proceedings and football in general. The show also had segments filmed at the World Cup by correspondent Tony Wilson. The show was well received by viewers and has a thriving Facebook community. Due to the show's popularity, fans are pushing for the show to continue in some form since completion of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The spin-off show Santo, Sam and Ed’s Sports Fever! was picked up by the Seven Network and began airing from January 2012.

You Have Been Watching is an Australian television comedy panel discussion and review television series. Hosted by comedian Peter Berner and featuring special guests, the programme is produced by the same team behind Balls of Steel Australia. You Have Been Watching (Australia) was commissioned by The Comedy Channel Group Programming Director Darren Chau and premiered on the channel on 17 February 2011, and ranks in the top 5 highest rating local production series in the Comedy Channel's history.

Taken Out is an Australian television dating game show that was originally broadcast on Network Ten between 1 September 2008 and 26 February 2009. The format was developed by FremantleMedia and was hosted by James Kerley, a Foxtel television presenter who has also hosted shows such as Cash Cab and The Dave & Kerley Show. British, Irish and Philippine versions of the show have been developed under the name Take Me Out. Versions have also been made in Denmark, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Spain, China, United States, Japan, Thailand and Taiwan.

Altruman is a top-notch superhero - the stuff that action blockbusters are made of. But on the home front he's struggling with family feuds, intimacy issues and career anxiety. This six-part web series follows the parts of Altruman's life that don't involve crime fighting, but present him his greatest challenge - being human. The series was developed from a short film made by the team in 2009. It was supported by a crowd-funding campaign and subsequently received a major a grant from the Australian government's film funding body, Screen Australia. It premiered on ABC iview in Australia in October 2014 where it notched up over 40,000 views and is now available free to watch on YouTube.

Let Loose Live, premiering on Sunday 29 May 2005, was an hour-long Australian live sketch comedy television programme loosely based on Saturday Night Live. At least two-thirds of each episode's content was broadcast live, requiring a large cast & crew. The show was broadcast on the Seven Network on Sunday nights at 8:30 PM, but was axed after just two episodes due to disappointing ratings. It was not replaced; instead, the Seven Network's regular Sunday night movies returned to the 8.30 slot. Let Loose Live's cancellation was announced the day after the second episode aired. Tim Worner, Seven's programming boss, conceded that it did not live up to expectations despite being strongly promoted. According to OzTAM, 955,000 viewers tuned in to its pilot episode, but then the ratings plummeted almost by a third to 650,000 the following week. Not long after the cancellation, the Seven Network announced plans to reinstate the series during the summer season, but nothing came of it. Prior to the show's debut, director Ted Emery remarked in an interview that Let Loose Live would either 'soar majestically, or crash and burn'.

Surprise Surprise Gotcha is an Australian hidden camera practical joke television series. Hosted by radio personalities Matt Tilley and Jackie O, the series commenced on the Nine Network on 18 September 2007.

The Group was a popular Australian situation comedy series produced by Cash Harmon Television for ATN7 in 1971. The situation involved five young flatmates - three men and two women - living together for financial and pragmatic reasons and regularly attempting to outwit their landlord who was convinced there were saucy goings-on in the flat. The regular characters were named on screen with a freeze frame as they made their entrance at the start of each episode. Each credit also featured a brief description of the character, such as MARK the medical student, JENNIFER the student, BOB the accountant, JEREMY he's something in television, TINTO the landlord. The final character was Laura, the dumb brunette, a model unaware of her physical attractiveness. Laura was the key character around which most of the show's situations revolved. Her caption would change every episode and formed the title of the episode, such as "and LAURA this week she's on a diet", "This Week She Wants to Be a Singer", "This Week She Travels", etc. The regular cast included Ken James as Mark, Gregory Ross as Bob, Gregory de Polnay as Jeremy, Jenee Welsh as Jennifer and Terry O'Neill as Tinto. The role of Laura Bent was played by Roslyn Wilson, a newcomer with no acting experience. She was cast at the last minute when the original actor, Wendy Hughes who played Laura in the televised pilot episode, was released to take a role in a stage play.

The Bob Morrison Show is an Australian sitcom that screened on the Nine Network in 1994. The Bob Morrison Show is the story of an ordinary family from through the eyes of their pet dog, Bob Morrison. Bob is an adorable stray that is welcomed by the youngest member of the Morrison clan, Ben, but he has a tough time winning over the rest of the family.

Something Stupid was a short-lived Australian sketch comedy series which aired in 1998 on the Seven Network. The program was produced, written and performed by much the same team that was behind the Fast Forward series. The series had the working title The Lazy Susan Show. The characters of Kath, Kim and Sharon from the popular sitcom Kath & Kim appeared in a regular sketch on the program, and had originally appeared on Riley and Turner's previous project, Big Girl's Blouse.

Good Vibrations is a 1992 Australian mini series about a family who discover their house is a portal to the after life. It was shot from 1 July to 2 August 1991.

The Money or the Gun was an Australian comedy/talk-show on the ABC network. It ran from 1989 to 1990, with occasional specials until 1994. It was written by Andrew Denton, Simon Dodd, Bruce Griffiths, and George Dodd, directed by Martin Coombes and produced by Mark Fitzgerald. Each episode was based on a significant theme, with Denton interviewing a number of people as well as conducting vox pops on the street. Significant episodes include "Guns-The Musical" and the award-winning episode on disabilities, "The Year of the Patronising Bastard". In 1993, a one-off special was called "Topic of Cancer", which talked to teenagers with cancer. In 2003, Denton held a 10-year reunion for the people on the 1993 show, as part of his ABC interview programme Enough Rope.

The show was originally written to fill the void in the Australian Jackass market, as MTV Australia had failed to follow the lead of MTV Europe with Dirty Sanchez by creating a localised version of the oddly successful show. After several failed attempts to find a niche in the crowded genre filled with literally millions of Jackass imitators, Bogans on the Run creator Dan Colby went back to drawing board. What followed was the Bogans first big breakthrough. The redesigned concept saw the show become a parody of popular Australian travel series, such as Getaway and The Great Outdoors, while still retaining its appeal to the youth market by incorporating improvised acts of pranks, skits and stunts in the same vein as Trigger Happy TV, Tom Green Live, Viva La Bam, Wildboyz, and Punk'd. The new concept immediately saw the show grab the attention of Madman Entertainment who jumped on board and agreed to distribute a DVD of the show across AUS and NZL into retail outlets at the end of 2006. Due to the shows limited filming budget the initial deadline was not met and the Bogans parted ways with Madman over a percentage dispute while negotiating a new deal. Although originally designed to be a DVD series, Bogans on the Run will now begin airing as a webcast on ManiaTV in 2008 which is good news for the fans that have been hanging out for the shows release as they can now access all the madness of Bogans on the Run for free.

Intensive Care Unit or ICU A Matter Of Life And Death is a 2010 Television Factual Program that aired on the Seven Network. It was thought the show was axed with "The White Room", however it was later revealed by a Seven Spokesperson that the show would return at a later point. The show is narrated by Caroline Craig

'Toon Time' is an Australian television entertainment programme 111 Hits created and executive produced by Darren Chau, and hosted by Penelope Mitchell and Dickie Knee from Hey Hey It's Saturday fame. The programme features Bugs Bunny and the popular Warner Brothers animated characters, plus comedy segments, competitions and specials guests. 'Toon Time' premiered on 18 July 2011 at 5.30pm. Penelope Mitchell was cast by Darren Chau who discovered her following an exhaustive nationwide search of talent. The programme is the highest rating local production on Channel 111HITS, and its promotional campaign won 5 Gold Promax Awards.

Idol Backstage was a companion show to Australian Idol distributed by Australia's largest telecommunications company, Telstra, and promoted in clips on the main show. It followed the pranks, gags and interviews of host Josh Zepps as he roamed behind the scenes of the Australian Idol set as the show went to air. It was produced by Idol's production company, FremantleMedia, in the form of one commercial half-hour per week over four clips. There were 54 episodes in total, with additional content available online and on mobile phones. It premiered on 28 August 2006.

The Mansion is an Australian television comedy based upon news and current affairs. Hosted by Michael Chamberlin and Charlie Pickering and featuring Kate McLennan and Justin Kennedy, It premiered on The Comedy Channel on Thursday 3 April 2008 at 8:30 pm. The Mansion first aired on 26 January 2007 with a six-part Australia Day special. The fictional backstory of The Mansion is that its previous host of The Mansion was one of the word's richest and most sexually potent news magnates, Jebediah McNews. The series finale of the Mansion aired on June 19, 2008 with a 'best of' episode airing on June 26.

The SBS Monday comedy slot is a part of the schedule of Australian state broadcaster SBS dedicated to off-beat, often offensive comedy programming, often produced by SBS itself and usually the highest rating night on SBS TV. The programs air between 8.30 and 9.30pm Monday nights, after Top Gear and before SBS World News Australia. During the summer non-ratings period, it aired after Top Gear Australia.
