The ‘Terminal Station Series’ is a police drama series produced by TV Asahi and Toei, which aired intermittently on the TV Asahi network from 8 December 1990 to 22 December 2022. The protagonist, Detective Ushio, was portrayed by Shigeru Tsuyuguchi in the first four instalments and by Tsurutaro Kataoka from the fifth instalment onwards. Kazuo Ikehiro served as director for the entire series from the first instalment onwards. The series is based on the mystery novel series *Detective Ushio’s Case Files* by Seiichi Morimura.

Ganbare!! Robocon was a Japanese television program created by Shotaro Ishinomori and produced by Toei. It ran for 118 episodes from October 4, 1974 to March 25, 1977 on NET TV. The series is rebooted in the 1999 series Moero!! Robocon till it was replaced by Kamen Rider Kuuga. A television drama adaptation, starring Miyazaki Yoshiko, of the tumultuous autobiographical novel by Chiyo Uno, a female writer who lived through the Meiji, Taisho and Showa eras. Having turned 18 that spring, Chiyo took up a post as a supply teacher in her hometown of Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Her wayward father had died a year earlier, and the family’s livelihood now depended on Chiyo’s income.
