However, success eludes him and he returns home to Japan. Nazuna meanwhile has given birth to her son and moved to Tokyo to search for Kento. By chance she finds Kento. When discovers he has become a father, he tries to make up for lost time. The show picks up their story as Nazuna, Taiyo and Kento begin family life together. Of course things are not as simple as they appear.

Mercy Peak was a New Zealand television series that ran for three seasons on local network TV One, between 2001 and 2004. The series rated well in New Zealand and won multiple awards for its cast. Though an ensemble show, Mercy Peak centres on a doctor who leaves the city to work at a hospital in the small town of Bassett. She works alongside stuffy but caring doctor William Kingsley. Mister Sterling is an American television serial drama created by Lawrence O'Donnell that ran from January to March in 2003. Despite mostly positive reviews, the show, which aired on NBC on Friday nights, was cancelled after 10 episodes after the show only ranked 58th in the yearly ratings Although it had numerous similarities to The West Wing in style and tone, it was not set in the same universe as O'Donnell's other political show. It is unknown if a cross-over would have ever occurred had Mister Sterling not been cancelled; however Steven Culp played presidential aspirant Sen. Ron Garland on Mister Sterling and House Speaker Jeff Haffley on The West Wing, and Democrats appeared to be in the majority in the US Senate on Mr Sterling, while in The West Wing consistent Republican control of both Houses of Congress was a key plot point. James Whitmore was nominated for a 2003 Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for playing former Governor Bill Sterling, the senator's father.

Dahil May Isang Ikaw is nominated in 2010 International Emmy Awards in the Telenovela category and Sid Lucero for Best Performance by an Actor for his role as Alfred "Red" Ramirez. The show was nominated as best foreign drama series in the Emmy Awards.

Godiva's is a Canadian television comedy-drama series, which debuted on Bravo! and Citytv in 2005; each episode is one hour in length. It completed a successful two-season run in 2006, but though the show received rave reviews, it was cancelled by CHUM broadcasting. There are currently attempts at getting a third season made. The series was created by Michael MacLennan with Julia Keatley of Keatley Entertainment. The series was nominated for numerous Gemini Awards including Best Series.
