Bellamy

Bellamy is an Australian television series made by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Ten Network in 1981. The series focused on a maverick cop named Steve Bellamy. His partner was Detective Mitchell. Recurring characters in the series were the disapproving Daley who appeared in 21 episodes, the forensics technician Clem who was in 15 of the episodes. Adam Garnett as Ginger, a street-wise child who befriended Bellamy, appeared in six early episodes but was phased-out of the series. Later in the run Tom Richards appeared as Detective Burns over five episodes. In the story Burns was ultimately revealed to be corrupt. The series was noticeably more violent than previous Australian police series such as those made by Crawford Productions during the 1970s. Bellamy attracted only mediocre ratings and was shifted around the schedules several times. The series was not renewed beyond the initial series of 26 one-hour episodes.

A one-episode television pilot for a proposed 1981 spin-off of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It features former series regulars Sarah Jane Smith, an investigative journalist played by Elisabeth Sladen, and K9, a robotic dog voiced by John Leeson. Both characters had been companions of the Fourth Doctor but they had not appeared together before. The single episode, A Girl's Best Friend was broadcast by BBC1 as a Christmas special on 28 December 1981 but was not taken up for a continuing series.

August 1914. In the village of Öd, the maid Rumplhanni has a love affair with Simon, son of the farmer Hauser. Before he goes to war, she dizzy to him, she expects a child from him. Simon can persuade his parents to say goodbye to Hanni as a daughter-in-law. Thus she has achieved what she wanted: to come out of the state of an illegitimate maid and to become peasant woman with house and farm. Since the old farmer wants to give her but nothing written, Hanni sets out another plan.
