Noah's Island was an animated children's television series made by the creators of The Animals of Farthing Wood and commissioned by the European Broadcasting Union. It was directed by Philippe Leclerc and Alan Simpson and written by Elphin Lloyd-Jones and John M. Mills. Each episode, of which there were 39, ran for 28 minutes. Although not as successful as Farthing Wood, it was fairly popular on Saturday mornings in many of the homes of the United Kingdom, particularly with its younger target audience. Based on the Bible story, Noah's Ark, the series was praised for its characterization, imaginative storylines and for introducing ecological themes in a way that delighted children.

Every night Alberto comes down from the hills to sneak into the McKenzie farm where Marta is waiting for him to propose to her. In these raids, Lupo must be very careful because Moses, the guard dog, is waiting for him. Their declaration of war is constant and turns into brawls and pranks that end up involving everyone on the farm.

The series first aired in France on Wednesday September 3, 1997, on TF1's TF! Jeunesse. It also aired in Canada in French on Mondays at 8PM on Télétoon, and in English on Teletoon on Thursdays at 4:55PM. A 70 minute special titled Nanook: le grand combat/Nanook - The Great Combat was produced in 1996 as well. The special was directed by Gérald Fleury.
The Loggerheads was an animated cartoon television series by Magma Films. It combined an old viking storylines with dark humour. It lasted only one season and was shown in Germany in 1997, on Britain's Channel Five in 1998 and later on the Pop TV channel, and in Italy TMC2 in 1999. The Story revolved around the Loggerhead chief Bjorn the Red and the rich Gissur the Pale and his family's attempts to contest the post. The three protagonists are the young man Kassai, his sidekick Leuk, a talking humanoid hare who knows the jungle well, and Princess Marana, who is cursed to transform into a gazelle during the day. In the series, Kassai goes on various quests to find the scattered parts of his tribe's patron goddess, Koorie, and tries to stop the plans of the evil god Toguum, who can possess people to do his bidding. The series was purchased by TV Ontario in 1999, and was re-voiced by Julie Zwillich for the North American market. A Welsh-language version was also produced for S4C, entitled Y Blobs.
