A Thousand and One... Americas is an animated television series originally produced from 1989 to 1991 in Spain by BRB Internacional to celebrate the 5th centenary of Christopher Columbus' voyage to America. The series focuses on the adventures of Chris, a 10 year old boy, and his yellowish dog Lon. Chris accidentally discovers an old book at the attic which belonged to his grandfather, which he brought with him from his journeys. The book makes him and his dog drift through imagination to historical occurrences of different nations which lived in America before it was discovered by Columbus in 1492. The series has been dubbed and subtitled in English, Spanish, Serbian and Hebrew.

Barnyard Commandos is an action figure line that was produced by Playmates in 1989. A four-episode animated series was based on the figures the following year. Produced by Murakami-Wolf-Swenson, it features the vocal talents of S. Scott Bullock, Thom Bray, Pat Fraley, Paul Hreppel, John Mariano, Bob Ridgeley, Lennie Weinrib, and Danny Wells. However, the series was not successful enough to merit further production of episodes. This consists of two "hilariously harmless" opposing teams: the R.A.M.S. and the P.O.R.K.S..

Journey to the Center of the Earth is an American science fiction animated television series, consisting of 17 episodes, each running 30 minutes. Produced by Filmation in association with 20th Century Fox, it aired from September 9, 1967 to September 6, 1969 on ABC Saturday Morning. It featured the voice of Ted Knight as Professor Lindenbrook. It was later shown in reruns on Sci Fi Channel's Cartoon Quest. It appears to have taken the 1959 film, Journey to the Center of the Earth, as its starting point rather than Jules Verne's original novel, e.g. including the character of Count Saknusssen and Gertrude the duck. However it moved even further away from Verne's novel than the 1959 film.
