Funnybones was a Welsh children's television series that was first aired in Welsh on S4C and in English on the BBC in 1992. It was based on the eponymous series of books by Janet and Allan Ahlberg which were illustrated by Andre Amstutz and focused on the adventures of a family of skeletons, sometimes known as the Funnybones. There was Big Funnybone, Little Funnybone, and Dog Funnybone. Each episode was 5 minutes in length. The Insensitive Princess is a 1983 French animated television series written and directed by Michel Ocelot. In a similar vein to other shows by the same writer, the humour worked on two levels for younger and older viewers. It was produced by The London Studios for London Weekend Television and Fire Mountain Productions in association with Link Entertainment. In 2023, the series was remastered, with full episodes posted on the show's official YouTube Channel.

Zokko was a BBC television programme for children that ran on Saturday mornings between 1968 and 1970. It was devised by veteran children's TV producer Molly Cox, and featured a mixture of animations, film clips, magic and narrated cartoons. The show was named after its "presenter", a talking pinball machine which introduced the clips and then scored them in its robotic voice e.g. "Zokko, Score 7". The programme is regarded as "the first televised children's comic". Apart from a compilation of highlights, only one complete episode remains in the BBC's archives.

In the series, Kassai goes on various quests to find the scattered parts of his tribe's patron goddess, Koorie, and tries to stop the plans of the evil god Toguum, who can possess people to do his bidding.
