Breakfast Television, also known as BT, is a Canadian morning news and entertainment program produced by CITY-DT. The program airs from 5:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. ET each weekday, except holidays. Since October 3, 2011, it is also simulcast on cable-exclusive CityNews Channel, with a half-hour extension aired exclusively on the channel that runs from 9-9:30 a.m. Four other Citytv owned-and-operated stations use the name and the format, creating content relevant to their own local audiences. A stations produced their own similar morning shows under the name A Morning, although due to budget cuts, many of them have been canceled as of 2009. BT tends to be more relaxed and spontaneous than American morning shows. Unlike American morning shows, it does not have pre-taped segments that are focused on current events or socio-political issues. The guests tend to be more human interest, informational, and promotional in nature and there is less of a focus on celebrities.

Magic Shadows was a 30-min Canadian television series produced by the TVOntario public television network hosted by Elwy Yost that ran on weekday evenings in the 1970s and 1980s. The host would present classic films in a serialized format over the week from Monday to Friday. In addition, Yost presented material related to the film in question such as interviews, and visits to interesting places in Ontario that related to the featured film. When the main film was concluded early, the Friday night airing would present classic film serials such as the acclaimed productions from Republic Studios such as The Adventures of Captain Marvel, Mysterious Doctor Satan, Daredevils of the Red Circle and Captain America. Wok with Yan was a Chinese cuisine cooking show starring Stephen Yan. The show was first produced in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada by the CBC at CBUT from 1980 to 1982. A second edition of the show was also produced in the early 1990s. The popular series was syndicated internationally in United States, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore for years. The humorous aprons also complemented his humour that consisted of spontaneous one-liners spoken with his trademark Cantonese accent or him playing with his food or cookware. That, combined with his energetic personality, endeared him to Canadian viewers. Prior to him preparing his stir fry cuisine, the show usually featured a vignette of Yan travelling to different vacation spots from around the world. He always invited an audience member to come up and eat with him near the end of each episode, and had a fortune cookie reading before the meal.

CTV Morning Live is the name of the local morning newscasts airing on CTV's owned-and-operated stations in Western Canada, specifically, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Regina as well as on CTV Two stations in Ottawa and Atlantic Canada. Each station produces its own version of the program. In areas where the program airs on a local CTV station, it airs in place of the network's national Canada AM program.

Sex, Toys, & Chocolate is a talk show produced by Alliance Atlantis on cable and satellite in Canada. Premiering on March 5, 2004, new episodes appeared on Life Network and older ones ran on Discovery Health network. It was hosted by Robin Milhausen and Michael Cho. Each show opens with interspersed scenes of Milhausen and Cho discussing some sex-related topic with three women and three men respectively. The men and women are then brought together for a group discussion, followed by role-playing or trivia games at the end. Kreskin, also known as The Amazing Kreskin, is an American mentalist who entertained studio audiences with this TV series from 1972 to 1975. It was broadcast throughout Canada on CTV and distributed in syndication in the US. The series was produced in Ottawa, Ontario at the CJOH-TV studios.

8th Fire: Aboriginal Peoples, Canada & the Way Forward is a Canadian broadcast documentary series, which aired in 2012. Featuring television, radio and web broadcasting components, the series focused on the changing nature of Canada's relationship with its First Nations communities. The television component aired as a four-part documentary series hosted by Wab Kinew as part of CBC Television's Doc Zone, while radio programming devoted to First Nations themes aired on a variety of CBC Radio series and the web component included content from a variety of contributors, including news coverage by other CBC News reporters and a series of short films by 20 First Nations, Inuit and Métis reporters and filmmakers. The series was a shortlisted nominee for the Donald Brittain Award for Best Social/Political Documentary Program, and for Best Cross-Platform Project, Non-Fiction, at the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards.

Passport to Adventure, later titled Passport, was a Canadian movie television series which aired on CBC Television from 1965 to 1967. The series, hosted by Elwy Yost, would present American and British films of the 1930s through to the 1960s subdivided for broadcast into serial format during each week. The series can be perceived as a viewer's digest of some of the best films ever to have been produced up to that time. Off the Record with Michael Landsberg, a.k.a. Off the Record or OTR, is a Canadian sports talk show on TSN hosted by Michael Landsberg. Since the program debuted on TSN in 1997, it has become the longest-running sports talk show on Canadian television.

The Sunday Night Sex Show was a live call-in Canadian television show which ran from 1996 to 2005. It aired on the W Network and was one of their most popular programs. Every week, callers would line up on the phone to talk to the host, Sue Johanson, about various topics from how to spice up one's sex life, to advice on how to select the right sex toy, to how to deal with various relationship issues. For many years, reruns of the show ran on the Oxygen Network in the United States, but American viewers were frustrated that they couldn't call in during the live airing in Canada. Eventually, a U.S. version of the show, titled Talk Sex with Sue Johanson, was created. Reasons for the Canadian cancellation were never given by either Johanson or the W Network. The U.S. show ended with the May 11, 2008 episode. Johanson was very emotional at the conclusion of the show and joined on stage by her supporting cast. Before the television series aired, Johanson was host of a syndicated radio call-in show in Canada, which was initially titled Sex with Sue, and later became Sunday Night Sex Show. Johanson retained the latter title for her television series.

Kreskin, also known as The Amazing Kreskin, is an American mentalist who entertained studio audiences with this TV series from 1975 to 1977. It was broadcast throughout Canada on CTV and distributed in syndication in the US. The series was produced at the studios of CFTO-TV in Toronto.

Saturday Night at the Movies was a weekly television series on TVOntario, the public educational television network in Ontario, Canada. The series presented classic movies, followed by interviews and feature segments with directors, actors and other people involved in making the films presented. The series presented almost 1,500 films and over 1,000 interviews. First aired on March 30, 1974, the program was originally hosted by Elwy Yost. The first film shown was Ingmar Bergman's Through a Glass Darkly. During Yost's 25-year tenure as host, he showed a wide variety of foreign films, but tended to concentrate on Hollywood-produced films from the 1930s through the 1970s.
