Flying Bark Animation produced an animated cartoon series of Tabaluga. In this series, Tabaluga is the last of the dragons and the crown-prince of Greenland, a magical place inhabited by talking animals of many different species. Tabaluga must defend his home from two rival kingdoms on either side of Greenland; a frigid arctic tundra, ruled by the evil snowman Arktos and a searing desert, ruled by an evil sand-spirit named Humsin.

Jack Shindo and Stanley Haggard are members of the first manned expedition to Mars, and on the red planet find a giant slug-like monster, Goudes/Gudis. Shindo is pinned by a rockslide and Haggard tries to escape in their ship but is blown up by Gudis. Suddenly a giant warrior, Ultraman Great, arrives and fights Goudes, but when Ultraman is on the verge of victory Goudes changes into a virus and travels to Earth where it mutates other creatures into monsters and awakens existing ones. Needing a human host to survive on Earth, Ultraman joins with Jack, allowing him to become the mighty alien when all seems lost. He joins UMA in order to help them battle the monsters.

Thunderstone is an Australian science fiction children's series broadcast on Network Ten from 12 February 1999 to 8 September 2000. Created by Jonathan M. Shiff, the show is set in a post-apocalyptic future where a comet has destroyed most life on Earth. The year is 2020. 15-year-old Noah Daniels lives with his family in the futuristic underground community of North Col. The world above is a frozen wasteland after the comet destroyed all other life including the animals. One night, Noah accidentally time travels to the future and finds himself trapped in 2085 in a desolate desert called Haven with a group of children, the Nomads, led by Arushka.

The perks and difficulties of having an alien as a best friend.

They share many adventures and form close friendships on the dangerous journey. Escape from Jupiter concerned a small colony of humans on the moon of Io.

It starred Rebecca Smart as Elinor 'Elly' Lockett and Clayton Williamson as Julian 'Jools' Trevaller. It also featuredred Abigail, Anne Tenney, Peter Fisher, Dennis Miller, Damon Herriman and Vanessa Collier. The dog which appeared in the series also played the dingo in the Meryl Streep and Sam Neill film, A Cry in the Dark.
