The series premiered on October 2, 2006. Eight episodes were ordered. The show stars Nick, B.J., Aaron, Leslie and Angel Carter.

This program was recorded at Stage 46, CBS Television City in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

Trosečník was a reality show based on Survivor, broadcast on Prima TV in the Czech Republic. Trosečník was filmed on the islands Plataneras, Chivraleon and Mogo Mogo, located in the Pearl Islands of Panama. 16 participants competed for a prize of 5,000,000 CZK, initially divided in two tribes named Ještěrky and Krabi. The winner was Ingrid Golasová who was part of the nearly decimated Krabi tribe. When the tribes merged, she was one of only three remaining original Krabi tribe members, the others being Iveta Moravcová and Lukáš Gašpar. After Lukáš was voted out, the Ještěrky seven began to turn on each other. Ingrid and Iveta both made it to the final five, but then Iveta shocked everyone by suddenly quitting. Ingrid then proceeded to defeat both Hanka Mašlíková and Vlaďka Orlíková in the elimination challenge, making it to the final two with Ráca Racman. Ingrid then defeated Ráca to win the grand prize, receiving 6 out of 8 votes to Ráca's 2.

Best of the Worst was a British panel game, which was broadcast on Channel 4 in 2006. The show was created by Giles Pilbrow and Colin Swash. Hosted by Alexander Armstrong, it featured two teams of two players, one captained by David Mitchell and the other by Johnny Vaughan. twentyfourseven was a documentary-style reality show on MTV that documented the lives of seven male friends seeking fame and fortune in Hollywood. Launched in December 2006, the show aired on Wednesday nights in the Ten Spot block after The Real World. The show faced low ratings and critical derision, and some viewers were suspicious that certain portions of the show were staged for dramatic effect; for instance, Greg Cipes was described as a singer new to the Los Angeles music scene, despite his acting in small live-action roles and voicing characters for animated series for several years. Also in question was Chris Carney's arrest in his hometown of Hot Springs, Arkansas for a DWI charge. His booking may have been refilmed after all charges against him were dropped. Specifically, upon arrest, Carney had a buzzcut. When he was released the subsequent day, a discontinuity error emerged, revealing that he had grown a mohawk. In a rare move, MTV canceled the series without explanation after three episodes. Though the network refrained from airing any repeats, the series' subsequent episodes premiered each Wednesday afternoon on MTV.com. The iTunes Store hosted the show as well, but iTunes did not post any new episodes after its cancellation.

Princess Nikki is a reality television show that stars former Big Brother 7 UK house mate, Nikki Grahame. It ran on Wednesday nights between 10:00 - 10:30pm on the digital television channel E4 from 6 September 2006, for a total runtime of 30 minutes. The show was devised by Endemol, the company that also devised Big Brother. It was narrated by the presenter and comedian, Alex Zane. The format saw Nikki attempt several jobs on each show, which included various unpleasant tasks such as rubbish collecting, deep sea fishing, and waste management. The show's premise was to see whether or not Nikki would perform the tasks given to her and keep her job for a day, or whether she would quit or be sacked due to her infamous tantrums. The concept of the show was taken from one of the tasks Nikki undertook while in the Big Brother House. During the task, she was assigned as Big Brother's personal assistant and had to carry out various duties, which often resulted in Nikki throwing a tantrum and refusing to comply. The show was often compared to The Simple Life. The theme music for the programme has been adapted from the 1982 hit single Hey Mickey! by Toni Basil, with the lyrics "Hey Nikki!" used as a replacement.

Beauty and the Geek is a reality television show, first aired in the United Kingdom on E4 on February 7, 2006, following the success of the format in the United States, and was advertised similarly as "the Ultimate Social Experiment". The first series ended on 14 March, and was repeated on Channel 4 beginning on 31 March. There is no host per se, although voiceovers are provided by David Mitchell of Peep Show fame and the physical actions normally requiring a host are performed by a silent "butler" known as "Gates".

"X-Change" is a Chinese documentary series, began broadcasting weekly starting in 2006, where selected participants (kids) exchange lives for 7 days. The teens/kid participants are filmed through school, leisure time, and interactions with the new family as they adjust to their surroundings.

MTV's Exposed was a television dating show which ran on MTV. It debuted on January 1, 2007, and was produced by Kallissa Productions and Endemol USA, as a "successor" to the dating show Next. The show ended by 2008.

Lil' Kim: Countdown to Lockdown is a reality television series which premiered on March 9, 2006 on BET. The 6-part show followed Lil' Kim's last 14 days of freedom before she entered the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a 366 day sentence.

Disorderly Conduct: Video on Patrol is an American reality television series produced by Cheri Sundae Productions. The US version is narrated by Robert Patrick. Much of the show focuses on car chases, recorded from either a police/news helicopter or a police car's dashboard-mounted evidence camera, but it also shows recordings of DUI suspects, robberies recorded by store surveillance cameras, and sometimes police stings and drug busts. The One: Making a Music Star is an American reality television series that aired in July 2006 on ABC in the United States, and CBC Television in Canada. The show was hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos, the host of CBC's The Hour. It was advertised as being superior to American Idol and Rock Star with the twist that contestants "live together in a fully functioning music academy", with their actions documented similar to the Big Brother format. Reportedly the most expensive summer series in the history of the ABC network, its first episode, on July 18, 2006, scored the lowest audience ever for a premiere episode on a major U.S. broadcast network, with an estimated 3.08 million viewers. Subsequent episodes had even fewer viewers. The series was cancelled after two weeks with the final results undecided on July 27, 2006. The show's website proclaimed "there are no plans for additional episodes".
