Masquerade

Masquerade (Kasou Taishou) is a semi-annual show on NTV in which various amateur groups perform short skits, which are rated by a panel of judges. Especially in recent years, many of the skits have revolved around clever methods of "faking" cinematic special effects on a live stage. The show is hosted by Kinichi Hagimoto and Katori Shingo. Worldwide, the most famous of these skits, and among the most successful at "fake special effects" was a skit which is widely known as "Matrix ping pong".

MUSIC STATION (ミュージックステーション) is a popular weekly music variety show that has been on the air since 1986. It airs Fridays at 8pm on TV Asahi and usually has 5-8 J-Pop artists and groups as guests on each show. The two hosts: タモリ (Tamori) and Hironaka Ayaka chat with each artist for a couple minutes before they hit the stage and perform their latest song. The show also runs specials from time to time, along with a yearly 3+ hour (now 4) live performance bonanza around Christmas time called MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE. The show also features Ward E. Sexton as the english announcer voice for introducing the guests and announcing the CD Single Hit Ranking (usually every week) and CD Album Hit Ranking (usually every month). In Tokyo, after midnight, many people wander around without destinations. Some were partying, some were working late, and some were just too drunk to catch the train on time. What happens if a camera crew suddenly asks them to let a camera follow them home in exchange of paying the taxi fare? There is no time for preparation for the interviewee. The camera documents their house just as it is. Some starts to talk about their previous dream by showing photo albums. LOVE CATCHER Japan

"Love Catcher Japan" consists of ten men and women spending eight special days together in Malaysia to find true love. With their true identities hidden, the participants begin their journey of discovering a “Love Catcher,” seeking love, and a “Money Catcher” aiming for money. In the end, if the final couple is paired up with “Love Catchers,” true love will bloom, while if a “Love Catcher” and a “Money Catcher” are paired up against each other, the “Money Catcher” wins a prize of 5 million yen. If two “Money Catchers” end up together, their journey ends without love and money.
