A Simple Walk Into Mordor

To celebrate the release of The Hobbit this month, Kerry Shawcross and Chris Demarais, two staff member of Rooster Teeth Productions (the producers of Red vs Blue, Immersion, and Achievement Hunter), will do in six days what took Frodo and Sam three movies to complete. They will walk the 120+ mile journey across New Zealand from the filming location of Hobbiton in Matamata to the filming location of Mount Doom, Mount Ngauruhoe. They will sleep on the ground, cross rivers, and of course, eat Lembas Bread. Documenting the entire journey on video, the two Rooster Teeth staff will prove that one does simply walk into Mordor.

A Little Piece of Thailand

THAIFJORD is a documentary series following the life of five Thai women and their husbands living in a remote fjord in Norway. All over the countryside in Norway an increasing number of men find their wives in Thailand and other Asian countries. But the women coming here to build a new life quickly find themselves the subject of discriminating opinions. Most Norwegians consider the “Thai-ladies” to be desperate women escaping poverty and prostitution by marrying hopeless and sexist men. They are believed to live in bad relationships where they equally exploit each other, and there is no love or even respect between them. But what do these men and women think about themselves and the choices they have made in their lives? What does relationship and marriage mean to them, and can they tell us anything about love?

Brainvolution: Master of Memory

“Brainvolution: Master of Memory” is Korea’s first-ever quiz-based variety show that aims to awaken the dormant “memory power” of modern individuals. Moving beyond simple memorization, the program tests reasoning, reflexes, and creative thinking, framing contemporary issues such as reliance on smartphones and digital devices, the subconscious “externalization” of memory, and so-called “digital dementia” through an innovative entertainment format.

De Handhavers

How do people respond when they are called to account for violations? How do enforcers experience this and what does their working day actually look like? In the reality series De Handhavers! the camera follows their work on the street and in public. In the series, several duo's enforcers are followed, who in their work face both funny, sad and violent situations. During their work they regularly end up in high-growth discussions and are confronted with aggression and misunderstanding.  The camera also follows enforcers in public transport. In Amsterdam (GVB) and Rotterdam (RET) we see how they act against black-wheelers, youngsters, tramps and nuisance in for example the bus, tram or metro. Finally, we also look at the ProRail employees. They check at level crossings and rely on reports from rail runners or other calamities on and around the track.
