Newsround is a BBC children's news programme, which has run continuously since 4 April 1972, and was one of the world's first television news magazines aimed specifically at children. Initially commissioned as a short series by BBC Children's Department, who held editorial control, its facilities are provided by BBC News. The programme is aimed at 6 to 16-year-olds.

Mata ng Agila is the flagship evening news broadcast of Net 25 in the Philippines, replacing i-Balita. The show was premiered on January 3, 2011. TV Patrol Central Visayas is the local news network broadcast of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in Mandaue City. It has been the most watched news program in Metro Cebu and the Central Visayas region. The program delivers news headlines about the current events in Central Visayas. It is aired live daily from the ABS-CBN Channel 3 Cebu at 5:00 PM, from Monday to Friday, with simulcast over ABS-CBN TV-12 Dumaguete and TV-9 Bohol and on radio thru DYAB Radyo Patrol 1512 Cebu. Anchored by Leo Lastimosa, TV Patrol Central Visayas had been recognized by Catholic Mass Media Awards as Best TV News Program in 2005 and in 2008. It was further given recognition by Cebu Archdiocesan Media Awards as the Best TV News Program in 2007 and 2009.

i-News is the flagship late night news program of the Philippine television network Net 25, anchored by Alma Angeles. It is an English version and a spin-off of i-Balita, and replaces Net 25 World Report. I-Balita and I-News are the same in format, but different in emphasis. I-Balita features local, business, weather and international news, while I-News features a daily round-up of the latest international, business, technology, sports, entertainment, environment, science, health and feature stories. Programme anchors Ivy Canlas and Karen Santos were replaced by Alma Angeles on January 17, 2011. Since October 24, 2011, the program was replaced by Eagle News: Evening Edition

CBC News Magazine was a weekly Canadian news television series which debuted on CBC Television on September 8, 1952. The series presented the week's international news highlights and documentaries from CBC correspondents around the world. It ran until 1981 when it was cancelled in order to make way for The Journal. Lorne Greene, then an announcer and newsreader for the CBC, was narrator for the series in its early years. It was hosted by the anchor of The National from the 1970s until its demise.

America Now is a daily television magazine program hosted by Leeza Gibbons and Bill Rancic, featuring "news you can really use" on lifestyle topics such as health, diet, family and pets. The program, which airs Monday through Friday, is produced by ITV Studios America. America Now is broadcast across the United States on stations owned by Raycom Media and is airing via syndication in other markets around the country.

The Big Breakfast is a Canadian morning news and entertainment program, that aired on the A-Channel stations and CKX from 1997 to 2005. It has no relation to the UK show of the same name. Each A-Channel station produced and broadcast its own Big Breakfast. CKX aired CHMI's Winnipeg edition. The anchors were Jon Ljungberg and Jimmy Mac in Winnipeg, Mark Scholz and Steve Antle in Edmonton and Dave Kelly and Tara McCool in Calgary On December 1, 2004, CHUM Limited officially took over ownership of the A-Channel system, and the stations were re-launched as Citytv on August 2, 2005. The Big Breakfast was also relaunched as Breakfast Television, the name Citytv uses for its similar morning shows, on the same day the stations were rebranded. The A-Channel brand was subsequently transferred to CHUM's former NewNet stations, whose own morning programs were retitled A-Channel Morning.

Media Television was a Canadian television newsmagazine series, which aired weekly on Citytv from 1991 to 2004. It was also syndicated internationally, airing in over 100 countries around the world at some point during its run. The show, subtitled "The Modern Art and Science of Persuasion", offered a behind the scenes examination of the worlds of media, marketing, technology, the internet, print, radio, and television. It was one of the first syndicated programs to employ a videographer whose role was as camera, interviewer, and host all rolled into one. Media Television's primary contribution was its unique examination of worldwide advertising in an intelligent manner.

ITV News was the early morning news bulletin on the British television network ITV. It was produced by ITN. The 30-minute programme covered British national and international news stories, a brief business update, a look at the mornings newspapers and regular NBC News segments and broadcasts at 5:30am every day. In the event of a major news story, they occasionally went live to the scene or cross to the newsroom. On 12 January 2009, Faye Barker was appointed the main newscaster of the bulletin, Charlene White alternated with Barker for a time.

Chicago Tonight is an evening television news program broadcast weeknights on WTTW in Chicago. Chicago Tonight reports primarily on local news and presents features showcasing local artists and events. The show began April 24, 1984 and was hosted by popular Chicago broadcast journalist John Callaway for fifteen years. He continued to contribute to the show until he died in 2009. Monday through Thursday night the program is hosted primarily by Phil Ponce. On Friday, Joel Weisman hosts Chicago Tonight: The Week in Review a panel discussion with four journalists on the top stories of the week.

Fox News Watch was a current event debate program on the Fox News Channel hosted by Jon Scott which is dedicated to discussing media bias. The show ended August 31, 2013.

GMA News Live is a now defunct hourly newscast of GMA Network. It was broadcast in English from 1987 to 1997 while Filipino from 1987 to 2002.

RTÉ News: Six One is the evening news programme broadcast from Monday to Sunday at 6:00pm on Irish television channel RTÉ One. It is Monday to Friday at 6:00pm to 7:00pm and on Saturday & Sunday 6:00pm to 6:30pm, when it is styled as Six One News and Sport. Six One is the only dual-anchored news programme on RTÉ Television. It is currently presented by Bryan Dobson, Sharon Ní Bheoláin, Eileen Dunne, Úna O'Hagan, Anthony Muranne, Aengus Mac Grianna, Úna O'Hagan, Siún Nic Gearailt, Eileen Whelan, Kate Egan, Susan Byrne and Ray Kennedy.

On 28 February 1983, BBC1 started to air a selection of Ceefax pages every weekday morning at 6.00am called Ceefax AM which would lead into the start of Breakfast Time at 6.30am. It is first mentioned in the Radio Times on 21 March.

Holmes was a 30 minute news and current affairs show presented by Paul Holmes on Television One in New Zealand between 1989 and 2004. The show moved to Prime in 2005 after failed contract negotiations between Paul Holmes and TVNZ. The shows run on Prime however was short lived due to low ratings.

Fréttir, is the principal nightly television news program of the Icelandic public television channel RÚV. The program has been broadcast since the channel was launched in 1966 and is the second most watched news program in Iceland. The show airs at 7 p.m. with news coverage for about 25 minutes followed by sports for about 5 minutes.

Market Wrap is a show on CNBC that aired between 4pm and 6pm ET, and it was replaced by Closing Bell on Feb 4, 2002.was premiered in 1989 as Market Wrap-Up was Anchored by Bill Griffeth and others. Daybreak Scotland was the regional news strand for the two ITV regions in northern and central Scotland, provided for the ITV breakfast station ITV Breakfast. The bulletins were produced for Daybreak by Macmillan Media, and were broadcast from studios in Glasgow. Before 3 December 2007, the regional news opt outs during GMTV were provided by the ITV franchise holders in central and northern Scotland, STV Central and STV North respectively. However in 2007, the contract for providing the regional news was awarded to Macmillan Media. Macmillian Media also produced Daybreak Northern Ireland news for broadcast in Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, the regional news for the ITV regions in England and Wales and the Channel Islands are produced by the corresponding ITV plc regions. Viewers in southern Scotland receive pan-regional news from the ITV Tyne Tees & Border region. GMTV Scotland was rebranded as Daybreak Scotland in September 2010, when GMTV was replaced by new breakfast programme, Daybreak. Regional bulletins aired three times each weekday, and included a look at the days main headlines, a travel news update, and a weather forecast. Separate bulletins were produced for the STV Central and STV North franchise areas.

ITV News Cymru Wales is a Welsh national television news service, produced by ITV Cymru Wales.

TV Patrol Bicol is the local news network broadcast of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group for the Bicol Region. The newscast is done in a tabloid-style format. The program delivers news headlines about the current events in the Bicol Region and in other places nationwide using the Central Bikolano language as a medium of delivery. It is aired live daily from ABS-CBN Naga at 5:15 PM, from Monday to Friday, simulcast over ABS-CBN TV-4 Legazpi, TV-10 Daet and Masbate, TV-7 Sorsogon and Virac.

Day Planner is a late morning-early afternoon weather forecast program airing on The Weather Channel Mondays through Fridays from 11:00am-2:00pm ET.

ABC Scope is a public affairs program that appeared on the ABC television network from 1964–1968, hosted by Howard K. Smith, the future anchor of the ABC Evening News. News reporters Louis Rukeyser, Frank Reynolds and John Scali also appeared. The program provided its viewer with an in-depth look at the important political, economic and social issues that the world faced in the mid-to-late 1960s. Although Smith hosted the show, the program provided its audience with one-on-one interviews of important newsmakers, documentaries on various subjects and roundtable discussions between a group of experts.

Answers for Americans is an American public affairs program which aired briefly, first in prime time and then on Sunday afternoons on ABC from November 1953 to February 1954. Social and political issues, both foreign and domestic, were discussed by a regular panel, including university professors, publishers, and retired military officers.

News Patrol is the hourly news-bulletin of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs.

10% QTV is a Canadian television newsmagazine series, which aired on Rogers Television stations in Ontario from 1995 to 2001. It was the first multiseason television series in Canada targeted specifically to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, being preceded only by the short-run documentary series Coming Out in 1972. The series first aired in 1995 as Cable 10%, and adopted the 10% QTV name in 1997. The series was produced in Toronto by a volunteer committee. It aired documentary and feature reports on LGBT life and news in Canada and internationally, including an annual episode airing highlights from the Toronto Pride Parade. The series aired on all Rogers community channels in Southern and Eastern Ontario. Following the end of the series, the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives took over the program's website, incorporating it into the CLGA's own website.

Thames News was the flagship regional news programme of Thames Television, serving the Greater London region and broadcast on weekdays from 12 September 1977 to 31 December 1992. The news service was produced and broadcast from Thames TV's headquarters at Euston Road in north-west London and during its last few years in operation, from district newsrooms in Dartford in Kent, Guildford in Surrey and Watford in Hertfordshire.

The BBC Nine O'Clock News was the flagship BBC News programme. It was launched on 14 September 1970 and ran until 15 October 2000, when it was controversially replaced by the BBC Ten O'Clock News.

The West Tonight was the flagship news programme in the ITV West region. It was broadcast at 6pm every weeknight. It launched in 1968 as Report West and ceased broadcasting on 15 February 2009.

TV-nytt is the name of the daily television news programmes on the Swedish-speaking Finnish TV channel Yle Fem, at the Finnish Broadcasting Company. The programme is also broadcast on TV Finland. TV-nytt first aired on 5 April 1965 and has since provided daily news for the Swedish-speaking population in Finland. In the evening TV-nytt has four regular broadcasts: at 16.55, 17.55, 19.30 and the last edition is in the late evening. The main bulletin is at 19.30 and is 25 minutes long. The late edition was shortened from 10 minutes to 90 seconds on 1 September 2011, following a co-operation between FST5 and the Swedish public broadcaster SVT. Prior to the end of analogue broadcasting in Finland on 31 August 2007, TV-nytt's 18.15 edition was the main bulletin and was simulcast on YLE TV1. Between 1997 and 2005, Swedish-language news called Morgonnytt was broadcast during the otherwise Finnish-language YLE breakfast TV programme Aamu-TV. This was discontinued as part of YLE's cost-cutting exercise, despite the fact that Morgonnytt often received more viewers than the evening TV-nytt broadcasts. This move has met with criticism from some parts of the Finland-Swedish community. From early 2010, YLE has again provided short news bulletins from TV-nytt during the morning hours during FST5's breakfast programme Min Morgon. The breakfast programme is funded by Svenska kulturfonden.

Sunrise is the breakfast time programme on Sky News between 6:00am and 9:00am on weekdays and 6:00am to 10:00am on weekends. It was first aired in February 1989. Since February 2007, the weekday episodes of the show have been called Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes, as Holmes now presents the show largely on his own, aided with news updates with Charlotte Hawkins. The editions broadcast from Friday to Sunday are branded Sunrise with Stephen Dixon.

Rewind is a Canadian television news series, which aired overnights on CP24. The series repeated past newscasts from Citytv Toronto. Citytv and CP24 were owned by CHUM Limited until July 2007, when CP24 and the rest of the CHUM Limited properties were sold to CTVglobemedia, while the Citytv stations were sold to Rogers Media. However, the series continued to air on CP24 for one more year, and was cancelled in September 2008.

Money for Breakfast was a morning business program which aired on the Fox Business Network weekdays from 7-9am Eastern Time. Its main competitor was CNBC's Squawk Box.

The Balitang Balita is the second Filipino language newscast of TV5 from February 21, 1992 to April 7, 2004. The first one was Pangunahing Balita, anchored by Paul Lacanilao in 1962. It was replaced by Sentro.

TV Patrol Southern Mindanao is the local news network broadcast of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in Davao City. It has been the most watched news program in Davao City and Region 11. The newscast is a tabloid-style format, and delivers news headlines about the current events in Southern Mindanao. It is aired live daily from ABS-CBN TV-4 Davao at 5:00 PM, from Monday to Friday, simulcast on TV-24 Mati, Davao Oriental. It is also shown abroad through The Filipino Channel. It is simulcast on radio via DXAB Radyo Patrol 1296. TV Patrol Southern Mindanao maintains a 24-hour shift of reporters, cameramen and drivers with coverage over the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley.

The Youth News Network was a failed venture by Athena Educational Partners that attempted to create a daily news program that would be broadcast into high school classrooms across Canada. Much like the more successful Channel One News service in the United States, Athena hoped that YNN would be able to generate revenue by selling commercial time during its daily classroom broadcasts. The idea of showing commercials in the classroom proved to be very controversial -- YNN met strong resistance from a variety of groups. The service was eventually banned from being shown in schools in six provinces. In response to public pressure, Athena announced in May 2000 that it would show public advocacy messages instead of commercials. At some point in 2001 the company ceased to exist.

Undercurrents was a Canadian television newsmagazine series in the 1990s, hosted by Wendy Mesley. The series, which first aired in 1994, primarily concentrated on investigative and documentary reports about media and technology, such as examining media coverage of controversial issues. Mesley won two Gemini Awards for her work on Undercurrents, in 1999 and 2001. In 2001, Undercurrents was folded into the new series CBC News: Disclosure, cohosted by Mesley and Diana Swain. The new show did not continue to discuss the media or technology, much to the disappointment of loyal Undercurrents viewers.

El Observador was the Spanish language newscast of Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV). It is one of the first television news programs in Venezuela.

Weather Center Live is a weather news program produced by The Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia.
