The PBS version of the program was originally presented by TV station KIXE in the Redding and Chico areas of the U.S. state of California. Mark Kistler additionally released some publications teaching techniques used in the show. It had a short reprise later in the 1990s but did not continue to run past a few episodes. Americas is an animated television series originally produced from 1989 to 1991 in Spain by BRB Internacional to celebrate the 5th centenary of Christopher Columbus' voyage to America. The series focuses on the adventures of Chris, a 10 year old boy, and his yellowish dog Lon. Chris accidentally discovers an old book at the attic which belonged to his grandfather, which he brought with him from his journeys. The book makes him and his dog drift through imagination to historical occurrences of different nations which lived in America before it was discovered by Columbus in 1492. The series has been dubbed and subtitled in English, Spanish, Serbian and Hebrew.

Spider! was a musical children's television series made by Hibbert Ralph Entertainment for the BBC which originally aired in 1991. It followed the adventures of a spider, the protagonist, and a young boy. The stories were told through song, performed by Jeff Stevenson with his children, Casey and Holly, singing backing vocals. The style of music varies from rock 'n' roll to haunting and melancholic, and was produced by Rick Cassman. A BBC Video entitled "Spider! - I'm Only Scary 'cos I'm Hairy!" which contained all 13 episodes was released soon after the series ended. A DVD version was also released later.
